I had not seen anything confirming this. Everything I have seen has shown that the strain is not mutating. LInky?

It’s mutating but there’s no evidence of worse or better as of last week.

Im sorry I posted this without verification. It came from a genetics professor in my department and I trusted it without checking, with the assumption that he knows what he is sharing. It illustrates (I guess) one danger of fearfulness.
I appreciate this thread as a source of real information- like the 9/11 thread was - and will refrain in the future (for my part, I would rather keep politics elsewhere but that’s hard too)

I read something last week that it has mutated, into two strains. One with the lesser symptoms, and the other with the more serious outcomes.

not sure where each has spread to from there, what parts of the world are being hit by each, and can't recall where I saw it. But I think it said it happened early, while it was still confined to Wuhan.

Don't apologise! It is always good to see what is circulating. I googled and found it being attributed to a number of excellent sounding sources. If I hadn't seen something refuting it I wouldn't have been so suspicious. Had never seen the FIbrosing thing.

I will need to research. I had seen something last week saying they were not seeing mutations and they were glad of it. There is SO much information it is completely possible I missed it

I too saw something a while back (a few weeks) reporting two strains, but nothing since.
