Cornell @ RPI, Saturday 1/19/2013

Re: Cornell @ RPI, Saturday 1/19/2013

The major seemed well deserved. Absolutely no complaint with that. But he seems to be on the ice for these kind of games more than many others. The games get physical early, and often get out of control.

Got it. Has to do tonight with the knucklehead coaching the Hotel Mgmt Squad...

Looked like a textbook major from Sec 17 but I did notice Cornell #22 who was hit was out QBing the ensuing power play.

Could be GR-it has happened before. I recall way back a game against Vermont we were leading late-and Bryan Tapper just creamed Eric Perrin into the boards and got a 5 minute and a game. Perrin look like he would never walk again. 1 minute later he was back on the ice feeded Martin St Louis for the next goal.

It should have been a minor with embellishment. The player dove, and didn't miss a shift.
Which is why Steckel should have been suspended for the second half of last season after injuring Crosby in the Winter Classic, right? I mean, the only important thing is to make sure that the offending player is suspended for as long as the other person is injured. Intent and the danger of the hit / situation should never be considered. Just the result. Who's with me!?

A finger on Crosby's jersey is a penalty.
