Cops draw stun guns on UMD player

Re: Cops draw stun guns on UMD player

I certainly hope a certain UMD fan, MEg's boyfriend, doesn't allow her to sit next to him with said sign. Also remember MEg is turning into quite the UMD fan, so it might not be a good idea for her to get to involved with bashing our team.
If he wants to get into the girlfriend's pants, he'll let her have whatever sign she wants. ;)

Hi DHG!!!

I guess when your team leads the NCAA's in penalties it would seem like it is being blown out of proportion....
I thought that was Ferris who was leading that stat??

Re: Cops draw stun guns on UMD player

This thread is stupid because it is making a mountain out of a mole hill. And talking about something that many people have said it did not happen.

UMD suspended him. Not the league, UMD did it on its own and it was the right call by them.

If you mean he did not make an absolute ***** out of himself you are wrong

Deserved much more than a 1 game suspension

Re: Cops draw stun guns on UMD player

A devastating blow to the tUMD hockey team. And honestly people, do you think tUMD suspended him over a speculative thread started by a CC fan? I'd have to think if his own school saw it fit to suspend him, something actually happened. Maybe not tasering, but honestly, stop kidding yourselves. That said, who gives a ****? :D

Re: Cops draw stun guns on UMD player

HE NEVER HAD A TASER DRAWN ON HIM!!

I have talked to numerous UMD hockey players, and they all said the taser allegations are all B.S., just like the title of the thread.

He was suspended because he went out to center ice after Stephen Schultz came in front of the UMD bench and was talking trash to the UMD players and coaches throughout the entire game. Huttel finally took offense of this, and went after Schultz and ripped his help it off his head, then huttel dropped his gloves and tried wailing on him. THAT is why he was suspended. The thing about him trying to get back on the ice was blown way out of proportion too! Some CC fan threw something at him, and as he was walking towards the locker room, he turned around, when that happened, a World Arena SECURITY GUARD, told him, that he use to play college hockey too, and it is easy to lose your cool, just turn around go in to the locker room and cool off. NO TASER WAS EVER INVOLVED!!

CCtig, how about you know facts or at least a little proof before you start spreading stuff like this around.

So you know absolutely positively that a CC fan threw something at him?

I think Bulldog fans are being a little thin skinned about this. You posting in this thread keeps it going, if it's not that big of a deal, ignore it and move on.

3 different bulldog players told me that a CC fan threw something at Huttel.

While I agree with tBulldog Snipers comments and have also heard from multiple people that there was no taser and that something was in fact thrown at him, I can also agree that we should probably just drop it. Nothing happened, and we know this, so we should just drop it and prepare for tomorrow. He's a loss but it could have been a lot worse. He got penalized and now it's time to move on.

Re: Cops draw stun guns on UMD player

So basically the phrase, "Dont' tase me bro." worked this time. Huh? :D

Re: Cops draw stun guns on UMD player

if it ain't on youtube, it didn't happen. just sayin.

Well, this rule should put the ki-bosh on all your Sioux lawnmower/elevator/cop car door ranting then. Looking forward to some fresh lunacy from Happy now that this is settled :)

Re: Cops draw stun guns on UMD player

It seems pretty clear to me that this thread just needs to die. I sit in the section just above the tunnel that the visiting team uses to exit the ice. I did not see what happened. I have spoken to a number of people who (did or didn't - no need to get into it here) see the Taser, and also heard that someone (did or didn't - again, no need) throw something on him. No matter what I've heard about either one, it's not going to convince anyone here to change their mind. It will be, at best, second hand reports from people who were riled up and possibly intoxicated.

I suggest we leave it to the facts in the case - Huttel was penalized by the on ice officials, ejected from the game, and suspended from the team for 1 game. Nothing more is going to happen, so let's just let it go.

The thread that refuses to die...at least until we do get the facts straight. And I'd just like to point out one more thing...

This is totally incorrect...at least if you believe the Duluth news report:

'Minnesota Duluth has suspended junior defenseman Chad Huttel of Hermantown for one game following his off-ice actions during Saturday's Western Collegiate Hockey Association game against Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colo.
...
Huttel left the ice, yet had a confrontation with rink officials before reaching the locker room.'
