Cops 9: You Are What Now?

Re: Cops 9: You Are What Now?

It may have already been explained below, and I thought uno might get into it. There is a concept in tort law called the eggshell skull doctrine. It simply states that a victim's unusual frailty is not a defense to the seriousness of injury. So if I hit a person in the head who has an eggshell skull, and it causes harm an ordinary person would not experience, it doesn't matter. I am liable for that damage (assuming the other elements are satisfied).

Same concept in criminal law holds that perpetrators take their victims like they find them. A preexisting heart condition could be one of those things--just like a thin skull.

Well I swear my dad used to always say that the old adage from his law school days was "If a man jumps out of a window and on the way I down I shoot a gun at him and kill him before he hits the ground, I am still guilty of killing him". He used to bring up hypotheticals like that when I was younger which is why I was always interested in it.

Very cool info you have posted burd :)

It's your HS football team, 20 years later:

One dude on the front left looks like Bob Kroll

Finger on the trigger. Aimed at the guy's face. Point blank range.

"Be certain of your target, your line of fire, and what lies beyond your target."

That officer knows exactly what he's doing.

Anderson Cooper has had enough...

Re: Cops 9: You Are What Now?

Hiding in the bunker, that isn't necessarily up to the President. That's a Secret Service call. Now, whether the Service made that call or not, dunno.

While that pic is horrifying, let's see some different angles. Still dumb of the cop to pull, do NOT get me wrong. Hard to tell if he's actually aiming at the guy/daughter or not. Again, DUMB decision.

For once, please, quit trying to both sides an issue.

Re: Cops 9: You Are What Now?

He shouldnt be pointing it at either of them...

That is exactly why I want to see a different angle. And for the last couple posts that were made THERE IS NO REASON TO PULL IN THAT SITUATION, GIVEN THE CLOSE PROXIMITY OF THOSE PEOPLE. I want to know if he is actually aiming at THEM, or something beyond them.

The scary thing for me is that pic probably isn’t in the top 100 most disgusting things they’ve done in the past few days.
