LOL, Jeh Johnson appears on the teevee and Dr. Mrs. makes the "yank off" gesture for the first time I have ever seen. She worked right down the corridor from him at DHS. She's not a fan.

Re: Cops 8: I Am Out Of Here...

CNN turns it to partisan politics, and while I completely agree Dump is making things worse leave him and his goons out of this. This is about the people on the street, not some fools in DC.

I wonder what city is first to really escalate tonight and first to get the feds Incoming

That's a bluff. Even if Dump orders that the people in the chain of command will figure out how to slog it down. "Uh, gee, sir, I'm getting a busy signal."

None of those career military guys want to go to prison because Republicans need to compensate for their impotence with a race war.

I wouldn't put ATL up there. Their lack of reaction last night until stuff literally blew up shows that.

MSP, too. I mean, we reacted to almost NOTHING last night. The curfew? lulz, that was a joke of an enforcement.

That is speaking from the cops' side.
As for the public? I think MN is passive-aggressive enough that the protesters will abide by the curfew, leaving only the rioters, which are smaller (relatively) in numbers.

The idea of a passive-aggressive riot is really good. :p

I think walz May csll for help if we need it

Re: Cops 8: I Am Out Of Here...

So apparently most of the people arrested and taken to jails in Minneapolis last night are from in state. Shocking there would be misinformation given out by the powers that be. I’d take anything you hear right now with a grain of salt.

What I mean is, the protesters WANT to protest, and referring to Handy's earlier GIF: WE WON'T PROTEST! WE WON'T PROTEST! ;)

And highways into the proper metro are shut down tonight.

If things continue to escalate, it is almost certainly not a bluff. The Insurrection Act of 1807 gives the president the authority to use the military in these exact circumstances. Riots in 1967 in Detroit, after the King assassination in 1968 and again in Los Angeles in 1992 all had federal troops in the streets.
