Re: Cops 6: The More You Pay, The Faster We'll Come!

I have this thrown onto a big screen TV. Evidently the revolution will be televised after all.

We live in poor neighborhoods, but then something like this happens, let's loot and burn everything we actually do have.

Makes sense.

Except they're not. I don't agree with what is going on, but a lot of people blame these chains they're hitting for being part of the reason they're poor.

I'm 100% behind the peaceful protesters. The looters/etc...nope. The blame is misplaced, IMO, for that situation.

Those who make non-violent change impossible make violent change inevitable.

This is like hydrodynamics. Abuse enough people for long enough and they explode. You can keep imprisoning them but until we address the root problems this will keep happening because it is all that's left when rational responses are exhausted.

Re: Cops 6: The More You Pay, The Faster We'll Come!

Gandhi comes to mind. He changed a few things.

He did, but there was also a violent wing, as there was with the Civil Rights Movement. Carrot / stick.

Unfortunately TPTB don't pay any attention until they start losing property. Then it's a crisis. If non-violence always won the cops wouldn't have guns.

Re: Cops 6: The More You Pay, The Faster We'll Come!

Watching that Unicorn feed, they have been holding the line unless someone does something stupid. They are allowing the protesters to verbally provoke. Anything MORE than that...then the police act.

That's fair, IMO.

How is destroying local businesses sticking it to TPTB? The riots aren't helping as much as they are hurting.

I wish I knew where these places were.

Whatever "Metro PCS" was, it's all on fire now.

Phone store.

If rioting is in uptown, it’s near the chain of lakes and the rich part of town.

I’m not that far west but think it’s likely not headed this fr

Re: Cops 6: The More You Pay, The Faster We'll Come!

If my hearing is correct, that white dude was saying that cops are killing blacks because of Vice Lords, it's all good.

NO. Wrong. Go away.
