Sounds like there's a group of protesters trying to put it out. Like most things, this had been ruined by the idiots.

I've been watching the Unicorn Riot feed for a few hours. Didn't see that. I did see what will be circulated on right wing media outlets for the next few weeks though: An AutoZone on fire with young black men, fists in the air, yelling "Black power!" as the building begins to burn.

Why did the lawsuit have no merit in your mind?

The NFL is a business. He wasn't cut, he wasn't re-signed. Big difference. He wasn't black-balled. No team owner wanted to pay him the money he wanted (or hand him the starting QB position he wanted) and deal with the media circus nor the potential loss of customers if the team signed him. There was no super-secret agreement to black-ball him.

A lot. If Colin was Pat Mahomes, or Cam Newton in his prime, I bet he'd have been re-signed (I'd say Tom Brady, or Kurt Cousins, but want to keep it race-relative, as that is the theme).

OR, if Colin would sign a HEAVILY incentive-based contract with a low base pay, and no guarantee he's the starter? I could see a team taking a chance on that, despite the media circus that would ensue.

From what I've been hearing (and read today in the Trib) the "real" protester are trying to stop the violent ones, trying to explain that burning and looting doesn't work.
Obviously, not making a difference. Kudos to the good protesters.
