Re: Cops 6: The More You Pay, The Faster We'll Come!

My wife and I have been house shopping for a little over a month now; searching houses in Sterling Heights, GrandRapids, Hudsonville, and Muskegon. Today we were looking at a house in Holton that we both agreed would be perfect, so we meet our realtor to see the house it’s beautiful. As we are walking to the house I’m seeing confederate flags on the walls the dining room table and even the garage. I’m thinking to myself as a joke I’m walking to the imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan‘s house right now.
Wait.

Sterling Heights, Grand Rapids, Hudsonville, Muskegon, and Holton?

Jay-Z sells out, alert the media.

The Comments stream is also fascinating, but it should probably come with a warning for the Cafe: may cause serious side effects for pasty white culture. I have rarely felt paler.

Cops: Never say they aren't creative.

The 50-year-old’s forehead is covered in delicate script, reaching from his eyebrows to his hairline. A single teardrop appears under his left eye, while his right cheek is unmistakably inked with a looping design.

So when authorities got a tip that Allen was behind a string of bank and credit union robberies in Portland, Ore., in April 2017, there was one major problem: None of the tellers had mentioned seeing any tattoos on the robber’s face. Surveillance footage, too, showed a man with no visible tattoos.

Yet, Allen was charged with the crime — after police took an unusual step. As the Oregonian first reported Friday, investigators used Photoshop to digitally alter his mug shot, covering up his distinctive tattoos. Two of the tellers, who weren’t told that the image had been edited, subsequently picked him out of a photo array of five similar-looking men and identified him as the robber.

He'll get a lump sum payout instead of going back to work.

Possibly, after an arbitrator issues an award upholding the grievance his union will file for his "unjust" termination. The arbitrator will not have the authority to dictate a settlement such as a payout as you describe. His or her only job will be to decide on the merits of the termination and subsequent grievance.

It's sad that these guys are almost never held accountable. Criminal law doesn't. Labor law doesn't. Civil law occasionally does, but that just costs taxpayers money, since cities are not rich corporations that can afford 10 figure payouts.

Well, if the camera laws were enforced (and frankly, if every cop shop were forced to have cameras), this would already be a done deal. From my understanding, every interaction must be recorded by such cameras.

Let the video evidence play out, along with testimony.
