Re: Cops 5: Barney Fife, Now in Real Life!

Depends on the department. Others might have been able to pass an exam yet still have traits that surface later.

Sure. I posted that because we are all probably aware of people who have gone into law enforcement partly because they had control and power issues. A minority certainly, and I'd guess we all know really fine people who have chosen law enforcement. I just wondered if there was a uniform test which is designed to identify people who are drawn to power and control and which is widely used by academies and municipalities. .

The cop obviously feared for his life. That tie could be a lethal weapon.

Well there are rumors of Idris Elba being Bond when Craig is done...so a Black man in a tux would definitely be dangerous ;)

Those rumors have been around for at least 5 years. I think that ship has sailed. He'll be 50 when Craig's contract runs out. Of course, Moore was about 108.

I would love Black Bond just to see the wingnuts' heads a 'splode.

Charlize Theron as Jane Bond.

Black Indentity Extremists. Finally a domestic group worthy of some proactive enforcement. I wonder what it is about them that makes them so scary...

From the story:

In a leaked August 2017 report from the FBI’s Domestic Terrorism Analysis Unit, officials claimed that there had been a “resurgence in ideologically motivated, violent criminal activity” stemming from African Americans’ “perceptions of police brutality”.

Got that? If you're concerned about police brutality that makes you a violent threat.

Meanwhile, these guys are just good ol' American heroes:

"STOP RESISTING!"

Sounds like they called because he was arguing with the staff, and they wanted him removed. Now, was the choking justified? Doubtful, but of course we don't have the full video.

Probably just another shining example of unnecessarily escalating the situation. I don't always trust Shaun King videos, I think he does a lot of selective editing. Sometimes he's right, sometimes he's looking for clicks.

From what little I read, he wasn't surprised at the police presence, he admitted wrongdoing, he is arguing excessive force, which (IMO) is pretty obvious.

Yeah I dont think anyone has issue with the cop being called more that the cop felt the need to go that far over such a petty thing.
