Re: Cops 5: Barney Fife, Now in Real Life!

Exactly. The cop isnt right to punch her, but I have zero sympathy for a drunk chick slapping a cop. She got punched, meanwhile if she was a black dude how does this play out? That gets my sympathy.

If she's black -- male or female -- she's a corpse.

If a stop punch provides a wake up call to sober up and behave civilly, then it is worth it.

However today's snowflakes will insist that they have rights to act like a drunken fool in public and take a swipe at a cop. The lesson will be lost.

I'm sure we'll all be much more civil after this.

Perhaps the "snowflake" here is the armed, aggressive, state-sanctioned authority who escalates the situation at the slightest trigger?

I'd have to imagine that there is training on how to deal with drunks, especially for stadium security, and I doubt the training for when a drunk woman slaps you is to respond by knocking her the F out.

Re: Cops 5: Barney Fife, Now in Real Life!

I don't feel sorry for her.

Just looking for some consistency.

And a (wasted) drunk petite woman resisting?

Cuff her and walk her out.

Problem solved, lawsuit and bad press averted.

Take it from someone who's been there, arresting a drunk woman, no matter what size, is not as easy as you make it out to be.

I didn't make it out to be easy, but you're not gonna say that those three big cops couldn't have gotten cuffs on her, are you?

She barely had the motor skills or strength to make her weak swipe.

It's hard to put a toddler to bed so next time just clock her.

I believe the officers felt trying to handcuff her on the stairs with the crowd around them was difficult so taking her to a more open area on the concourse was the better course of action.
