Re: Cops 3: Shoot low boys -- they're ridin' Shetland ponies!

2nd suspect that was in shootout is reported by DPD to be in custody.

Suspicious package near his location being secured.

Re: Cops 3: Shoot low boys -- they're ridin' Shetland ponies!

CNN saying police engaging in a shootout with one of the suspects.

Reddit is saying that scanners have picked up transmissions along the lines of "suspect neutralized" after the shootout.

He is going to claim justification (like some did in LA during the Rodney King Riots) and if a jury buys that crap this is really going to spiral out of control...

Sounds like the guy whose photo has been circulated (camo guy) is NOT involved

What exactly did it predict?

Race war. It may have a slightly different performance, but right now it's minorities versus (white) cops. It's happening right now. I don't agree with either "group" in the video as for reasons, but it is happening.

Oh stop it. This kind of overdramatic bull **** doesn't do anyone any favors.

There isn't a race war.

Both suspects in custody alive.

Keep believing that.

I don't like it any more than you do, but that is what is brewing right now. As I said, it's on a different stage at this point. Civilians vs cops, but the common thread is race. BLM is a player in this act.

Re: Cops 3: Shoot low boys -- they're ridin' Shetland ponies!

I wish this was surprising but this crap has been brewing for months. Its terrible but was completely obvious.

Once people stop trusting the cops it is all too easy for them to just assume they are evil and be out for blood. We hit that line about 2 years ago. This last killing was the final straw because there is literally no excuse for it.

I feel for the cops...they didnt deserve this. They are being punished for the actions of others of their ilk. (sound familiar) And while I am probably going to be accused of being insensitive the fact is if people (in this case cops) treated everyone as human beings none of this would be happening. Lets just pray it ends fast and the killer is brought to justice...there has been enough death and senseless killing. There is no justification for this and it makes me sick.

Sounds like the Dallas PD has a pretty good reputation actually and was improving in terms of lowering excessive force. http://www.dallasnews.com/news/crim...essive-force-complaints-drop-dramatically.ece I definitely feel for the cops and their families this is terrible.

That said these sniper(s) in custody will get the death penalty for what they did. The cops who recently ****ed up might go to prison... maybe. And that's why so many have lost faith in the system.

This isnt about just the Dallas PD...this is about the police in general. No matter the reason people dont trust cops, especially minorities. It is nothing new it happens quite frequently. Dallas is just where it flared up this time.

And you see, some of us have been warning of this stuff for a while. (at least since Ferguson) Pattern shows that if you just keep ignoring the issues sooner or later the pendulum swings back. It happened in Watts, it happened in LA with Rodney King, it happened in Ferguson and we are on the brink of it now again. When people feel like no one cares about them and that they cant even trust the police to protect them (let alone not kill them) justified or not they are going to fight back. When you see guys like James Blake get beat up because he is standing somewhere and "looked" like a suspect, when a law abiding citizen gets shot in broad daylight, when people get choked out for no reason, tazing of suspects who arent resisting and when routine traffic stops become death sentences people get ****ed. When nothing comes of the actions of those cops it multiplies it by 10.

That doesnt justify fighting violence with violence (especially killing police officers who have done nothing wrong) but it certainly explains it. Maybe if people stopped ignoring what is going on this wouldnt happen. Maybe if the cops did more to police their own (and call out those that are acting outside the law) this wouldnt have happened. Maybe if everyone remembered that above all else we have the right to live none of this happens. But no we have both sides digging in never admitting fault and excusing any bad behavior. It is nothing new...

And in the end all that really matters is that an innocent man was killed and now a bunch of innocent cops were killed. And for what?

This isnt a race war (yet) it is about people with authority using it to lethal ends too quickly and easily and a populace not willing to take it anymore. To what end race plays in is unknown, but it is definitely a part of this. Sure the pro cop side will vilify BLM wrongfully (I think the last two days have shown they have a purpose and message that has a point) and the BLM side will race bait and claim all cops are evil racist ******** but that is just noise. You can take race out of this and it is still the same...there is a fundamental breakdown and no one seems interested in fixing it. Innocent people should not be killed by cops. Traffic stops are not death penalty worthy infractions. (nor is most crime in general) This is not the wild west (the wild west wasnt the wild west) we dont pull out our guns and shoot first and ask questions later. That is wrong, and no badge makes that ok. And every time that happens people get angry and honestly can you blame them?

This isn't a race war. There are insular whites who fear blacks and insular blacks who fear whites, but many (most?) of us live and work together and share common culture.
