Congrats SCSU!

Re: Congrats SCSU!

To some of my fellow SCSU fans...yeesh, don't talk smack, we won one game, which is better than none, but we have a long way to go. Also, UMD hangs INDIVIDUAL banners even for quarterfinal appearances (i.e. as far as we got this year, and their banner for 1983 represents zero wins), while I could live without the participation banner, I'm not that offended by it since a lot of schools in a lot of sports have banners listing NCAA trips. We'll only add a number, not a whole new banner.

Re: Congrats SCSU!

I was a fan of the U in the late 90's trust me this slump has more issues than the late 90's. No more tv coverage and 5 WCHA teams in the state and no longer the state of hockey. Keep wishing but you are now Jan. Tape delayed does not count as coverage we are all sleeping when you lose.

This may help you in your time of sorrow.

Five Stages Of Grief

1. Denial and Isolation.
At first, we tend to deny the loss has taken place, and may withdraw from our usual social contacts and fanbase. This stage may last a few moments, or longer.

2. Anger.
The grieving person may then be furious at the person or team or even Gopher fans who inflicted the hurt or at the world, for letting it happen. He may be angry with himself for letting the loss to the Badgers take place, even if, realistically, nothing could have stopped it.

3. Bargaining.
Now the grieving person may make bargains with God, asking, "If I do this, will you take away the loss to the Badgers?"

4. Depression.
The person feels numb, although anger at opposing fans and sadness may remain underneath.

5. Acceptance.
This is when the anger, sadness and mourning have tapered off. The person simply accepts the reality of the loss to the Badgers

Re: Congrats SCSU!

Thanks for clarifying. I believe that our 10 FF appearances, oops I mean 11 now, are on a banner somewhere in the rafters at the KC. Thing is, that banner is hard to pick out amongst the six National Championship banners that are up there.

I was only questioning why you'd think that an appearance was something worth bragging about. Fan of a lesser program? Must be.

Loser.

You sure you aren't a sue fan? Sure coming off as one popping off about how many titles you have. Loser!

I'm sorry... did the fan of the team with no titles just call someone a loser because they mentioned their six? That didn't just happen, did it?

I actually missed this thread until just now. You wanna congratulate SCSU, make sure to add the  next time
