Congrats SCSU!

Re: Congrats SCSU!

You see how no gopher fan on here as disputed what I said. You come back with crap just like your team, how many rounds of golf you got in this year and who is going to score for you next year. Face it your program has fallen off the face of the earth and you are bitter. At least not too many guys will leave this year because they are all fourth liners for that city just to the north of you

Okay, here's an SCSU alum talking to you now. ST*U. Seriously. Your posts in this thread are worthless and completely misdirected. Just step away from the keyboard, stop wanking it to the thought of the Gophers going through a rough patch, and just enjoy the little step forward that SCSU took this season.

Re: Congrats SCSU!

We did not play well enough to win, but it still hurts.

Progress was made, but it still hurts.

Re: Congrats SCSU!

what idiot gopher fan would say anything on this forum. Everyone knows the gopher progam is in ruins.
Last MacNaughton was 2007. Last national frozen four was 2005. Last national title was 2003. When was the last time SCSU did ANY of these things? But go ahead and believe the program is "in ruins" due to a three year slump - I won't stop you - I'll just laugh at you.
Your games are no longer on tv.
Strange, I remember seeing about 30 of them this season - including three of them just a couple weeks ago.
You are losing players because the NHL knows if you go to the U you are trash.
These statements contradict each other. If the players at the U were trash, the NHL would not want them.
Scouts are lowering draft picks because you suck.
Really? That's strange because MN had a crapload of draftees on their team this season - including first rounders.
Face it you use to be the boss of the staete but st cloud is yards ahead of you at this time and incoming recruits you don't compare and don't give me that crap about were they are drafted you had 17 drafted playes this year and were a bye on everyones schedule.
MN swept SCSU out of the playoffs last year. To claim your program is now "yards ahead" is silly given the fluid nature of the standings from year to year. Since RIT is in the Frozen Four, does that put their program ahead of both of ours?
In fact I know a lot of gopher fans who no longer follow the team and the rink is half full when they play. didn't your team stop playing a month ago.
If they no longer follow the team, they are no longer Gopher fans. If you're a fan of something, by definition, you follow it. Despite the corporate seat problem, Mariucci is well over half full for Gopher games. I'd say at worst, it was 2/3-3/4 full for a few of the games this season, and that happened due to a combination of the team being subpar and the games themselves being held at odd times (Sunday afternoon, for example).

Go ahead and enjoy your brief period of superiority in hockey - I don't think it will last long, and in the grand scheme of things, your program still has not accomplished anything.

Re: Congrats SCSU!

wow I thought if was gopher fans giving me crap. I apoligize to those I offended. disappointed in loss but what I said still holds true. To be fair I use to be a gopher fan until I went to college and am disapointed how FSN has pushed them back this year. I still like the U over the cheaters from und.

I said at this time you can live in the past but the U you saw this year is the one you will see for years to come.

most on tape delayed after the wild.

My point they get worse when they get to the U that anyone who commits is going to be drafted lower.

No we played a great team in wisconsin you did not even get invited.

Face it your place was empty and don't blame game time they looked like a high school team most of the year.

I will

"I said at this time you can live in the past but the U you saw this year is the one you will see for years to come."

This type of statement is typically uttered by a fan with no sense of history and an inflated sense of self importance based on minimal accomplishments. SCSU finished higher in the standings this season - what did that get them? Final Five runner-up, third place in the WCHA regular season standings, and a 1-1 record in the NCAA tournament... not the most amazing list right there, is it? You're making the same mistake that other tools in your fanbase made in the late '90s - which just so happened to be the last time MN had a three-year slump. It's amazing how those two things parallel each other.

I won't bother telling you again what happened after MN's last three year slump. However, feel free to pull up their team page on uscho and click on the history link. That'll tell you all you need to know.

I was a fan of the U in the late 90's trust me this slump has more issues than the late 90's. No more tv coverage and 5 WCHA teams in the state and no longer the state of hockey. Keep wishing but you are now Jan. Tape delayed does not count as coverage we are all sleeping when you lose.

The funny thing is that we would most likely have jumped all over the tUMD poster for being so proud of a FF appearance but you decided to deflect that with your Gopher inferiority complex.

You are SO Jan. Well played.

You say it has more issues and then proceed to back this up with nothing. You have no perspective whatsoever and your inability to form a coherent argument is comical at best.

If there's no more tv coverage, why on earth did I see FSN announce just the other day that all MN home games will be broadcast in HD next season? Secondly - for the record - most of the Gopher games are not tape delayed.

Re: Congrats SCSU!

wow, reading the last 2 pages of this guy's rants was WAY more entertaining than anything I saw at the bars tonight.

is it just the gopher home games that will be in HD, or all of them? Makes watching soooooo much better when in full screen HD

Re: Congrats SCSU!

yeah, so, i will go ahead and ask it since i have no idea what it means. when you guys refer to "Jan" who/what are you talking about? not going to lie, don't pay that much attention.:o

Think of Minnesota as Marcia Brady. Now imagine St. Cloud as Jan Brady. Makes sense, doesn't it?

Re: Congrats SCSU!

Yep, every school hangs banners for frozen four appearance. 1st time hockey fan? Must be.

Thanks for clarifying. I believe that our 10 FF appearances, oops I mean 11 now, are on a banner somewhere in the rafters at the KC. Thing is, that banner is hard to pick out amongst the six National Championship banners that are up there.

I was only questioning why you'd think that an appearance was something worth bragging about. Fan of a lesser program? Must be.

Loser.
