Conference Tournament Results: March 2nd through March 5th

Re: Conference Tournament Results: March 2nd through March 5th

Congratulations to Clarkson on a 1-0 win over Cornell to take the championship. Cornell's NCAA fate is now in BC's hands.

Fixed your post. ;) And to Cornell on a well played game.

Re: Conference Tournament Results: March 2nd through March 5th

Great play by Wisconsin to score early 2-1. Initiated by Nurse from her knees.

I know Pankowski and probably Clark are considered the best Badger skaters and that's probably true. But Nurse is the scariest for me. Always cheating to get breakaways, ridiculously effective back checker, crazy good with her stick and one on one battles, and always coming out of nowhere. I'll be happy to not see her in Gopher - Badger games after this year (so to speak-lots of respect for her!).

Speak of the devil-Nurse shorthanded for 3-1.

Game over, now 4-1. Pretty predictable that fatigue set in for the Bulldogs after yesterday's marathon.

Wisconsin goal by Nurse and save by UMD Rooney make ESPN Sports Center Top 10

Link? I'd like to see that save by Rooney again.

Re: Conference Tournament Results: March 2nd through March 5th

Can you really call it a 'save' if you would have been the one knocking it into the net in the first place? Rooney was fantastic this weekend; this would not be the one I'd pick to highlight that fact.

I know what you're saying, but she had the sense to immediately reach back and then skate out of the crease in case she dropped it. Can't remember seeing something like that before. With that said, there were other saves that more showcased her skills.

Re: Conference Tournament Results: March 2nd through March 5th

I did a brief search but Google didn't score for me.

Thanks for trying. I had tried the Fox Top 10 plays as per vicb but being an undesirable alien I was dropping my bucket down a dry well.

But T came thru. He's the first star of the day.

That's what made it so cool, the fact that it was so unusual...and extremely well played given the circumstances.
