Concerts 2025

Ok, we all know about Coldplay. What other acts have you seen/want to see that are touring/will tour? I went to see Weird Al with special guest Puddles Pity Party, and it was great. The venue, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, not so much. LiveNation is ruining concerts. SPAC is an outdoor amphitheater in the state park, and starting this year you can’t bring in any lawn chairs, but of course you can’t rent them for $15/person. Lots of people brought blankets, only a matter of time before they get banned too. Concerts are no longer becoming affordable for people.

My wife and I saw that same show about 3 weeks ago. Treasure Island Resort & Casino’s outdoor amphitheater. They still allow chairs.

What I didn’t like about the venue was the single Weird Al merch tent permitted, so there was a huge line. We skipped it because tshirts started at $40.

When I was back home in May I got to see The Gang of Four, and also separately Parliament Funkadelic. Missed seeing Cake at Harriett Island by a day.

Got tickets to see Smashing Pumpkins in Manila in September. Previously saw The Brand New Heavies, as well as Cigarettes After Sex,

Seeing my favorite band, Wilco, in August in Utah. Got tickets to that before they announced shows in Jackson, WY, and Missoula, MT. But price was good and there is some other stuff I like to to do the Salt Lake area. I don't go to a lot of concerts but this will be my 9th time seeing them but I have only really been to like 11 or 12 total real concerts in my life. I'm not counting like bands at bar or free concerts in the park type stuff. I don't like crowds so I have to really want to see the band if I am going to spend money.
