Agree with all of this.

UO still could have had this game despite the 2 INTs in the first quarter and the 4th down fail. Not shabby.

yah, you kept expecting Auburn to pull away, but they never did, probably a combination of them not making key plays and Oregon making a big play here and there.

I used up all my luck on the Seahawks.

Well, thanks, jerk.

Now we've got another year of ESSSSSS EEEEEEEEEE CEEEEEEEEEEE, just for one lousy week of Seahawks football.

Way to think about the rest of us.

Yeah, but we don't have to hear "WHO DAT!!!111!!!!!1!!!" for at least 5 months.

That could have been dealt with this week by the horseshoe up the Chicago Bears' ***.

It's even money that this time next year half the SEC will be on probation.

Re: College Football IV: The Hand over Fist Cash Grab Time, or Bowl Season for short.

I was unimpressed by Oregon's offense. Their O-Line got no push whatsoever, and their QB was making very poor decisions all night long. Not just inaccurate throws (some of which is surely due to rust), but a lot of poor reads and poor decisions with the ball. Playcalling didn't help much - Oregon has zero push and very little success running inside and Oregon calls 4 straight inside runs on the goal line? ***, mate?

Re: College Football IV: The Hand over Fist Cash Grab Time, or Bowl Season for short.

TCU would have had more of a case if Oregon had won. Auburn going undefeated with their strength of schedule is a tribute to how professionals would fare in a mostly amateur environment, but since the NCAA chose to punt on that issue until 2013, you're stuck saying "Huh, 8 wins over the top 25, including 4 wins over the top 10, or 1 win over the top 10. "

You guys need to start kissing some serious Yale *** if you want to be consistent on your view of polls.

Umm yes?

Just like they are every year.

They probly come out ahead when all is said and done, since no conference really was sensational this year, but it's not like they had it running away.

Miles to stay at LSU.
Les Miles, who was sought by Michigan to succeed Rich Rodriguez, will remain coach at LSU, the school announced Tuesday.

"I am pleased to announce that Les Miles will remain the head coach at LSU," athletic director Joe Alleva said. "Les has led this program to many great successes on the field and his players represent LSU well off the field. We look forward to many great years of LSU football under his leadership."

Miles was expected to address the media later Tuesday.

Really don't think Michigan was all that interested. It doesn't even say they offered him the job...

If they offered, I think Miles would have said yes.

Re: College Football IV: The Hand over Fist Cash Grab Time, or Bowl Season for short.

The reports were that if Michigan asked he would accept so you have to either infer that they didn't offer or the reports were wrong about Miles wanting to be a Michigan man, again.

Re: College Football IV: The Hand over Fist Cash Grab Time, or Bowl Season for short.

reports have dave brandon landing in Southern California in a few hours. AA.com has a tracking link if you care.

So maybe they will follow up the non offers with another one? :) (I'm such an optimistic wolverine...)

Gotta think that Miles did let it be known that he planned to accept if asked and was less than honest about that, probably with an eye toward angling for more money from LSU.
