College Football 2025

That part is making us rethink some things we have in our plans. Kinda sad.

Not sure if it happened anywhere else, but the day after the agreement to pay the athletes some of the money universities get for athletics, we got a request for money.... Geezus. This from one of the top earners of all US colleges for athletics income.
Didn't Michgan or Michigan State up their student activity fee?

I think that was Minnesota talking about having to add one of things continues.

Michigan and MSU don’t have student activity fees for athletics. Students do have to buy tickets (at a discounted rate), unlike some other schools where they’re free. I know some or all of the MAC schools have athletic fees in their tuition bill, which is insane to me. If you have to have your student body subsidize athletics then drop down a level.

Didn't realize Minnesota already had one. I thought it was just an option that got thrown out as to how to fund things in the future. That surprises me because Minnesota's makeup is a lot like MSU and UM. The only school I would've thought would have a fee would be Rutgers because of the deficit they ran upgrading facilities when they first got into the Big Ten.

Honestly don’t remember if it was added or increased

Bill is doing a lot to show that his success was more about Brady than him.

Can't really blame it on old recruiting anymore, since you can totally retool a team over the offseason.

Side rant, I'm very much over player from "X" constant comments during college football games. I really get giving the athletes the freedom that every other student has being able to change schools and all, but it sure takes away from being attached to your team. I really thought it was fun the first few times that Idaho was mentioned in the UM-NM game Saturday (there are a ton of former Vandals at NM, since the head coach moved from Moscow) but it got old being reminded how much talent is no longer up there. Let alone how teams are just one year things anymore.

Not quite as bad for hockey, yet, but for sure, getting to know the players has gotten more difficult, taking away from fully enjoying that.

I'm sure my schools will manage to find replacements for us as we slowly back out.
