FLA has a State of Emergency. Wonder if any games in FLA will be played this weekend.

FARK headline, "Governor DeSantis declares a state of Florida."

If SDSU doesn’t fumble that handoff, they probably take down Minnesota.

Nearly losing to an FCS team is a blooming tradition for the Gophers. It is better than the previous tradition of actually losing to them.

a.k.a., a "Michigan Opener."

I thought SDSU was going FBS? Is that later or am I smoking crayons?

Edit: Oh, South Dakota. I read San Diego.

San Diego State has been FBS for a rather long time ;)

Forever, maybe?

I (mis?)remember a Southern CA school as contemplating the jump. Who has gone up to FBS in the last decade?

Not anyone on the west coast that I can think of.

App State
Coastal Carolina
Liberty
South Alabama
Old Dominion
Texas State
UTSA
UMass
Charlotte

Maybe you’re thinking of UC Davis? They should probably be FBS just based on enrollment. But I don’t know if there have been any rumors. All the rumored teams are on the east coast and if anything the west is having issues with Idaho dropping, NMSU as an independent, and basically all of Arizona juco dropping football.

Nah I'm obviously sundowning.

I'm not a football fan, but I look forward to College Football season for the smart wisea** signs that make it on ESPN's College Game Day.

Pretty much my main interest at this point too.

My main interest is how will hype teams fall apart this year? I know Michigan isn't beating Ohio State. Wazzu will find new, epic ways to Coug It this year. Notre Dame will feast on cupcakes and get destroyed in the playoff. Georgia claims they can beat Alabama this year, and will choke in the SEC championship. Alabama will lose to Clemson again.

All rites of passage I look forward to.
