College Football 2018-19: We Want Mugs, Pugs, Thugs... AND METHODISTS on our team!

Re: College Football 2018-19: We Want Mugs, Pugs, Thugs... AND METHODISTS on our team

They'd probably be welcome in the MAC, but it'd be for the once a decade event where they can slide into a major bowl after running the table and the other G5 conferences slip up (NIU 2012 Orange, WMU 2016 Cotton) And promotions from FCS hasn't pulled that off for Marshall, Georgia Southern, etc.yet. Don't know if the dome stadium size of 19k would be big enough for the MWC who are more likely to get major bowls.

I'm not sure if the MAC would want them. It would literally double the size of the conference map, with Fargo > DeKalb being just as far as DeKalb > Buffalo. Not a huge deal for football but would surely drive up the travel costs of other sports.

I don't know how some of these smaller D1 conferences do it. The WAC is made up of teams from Seattle to Chicago to the Texas-Mexico border with such name brand schools as Chicago St and UT-Rio Grande Valley.

Chicago State does it to say that they are D-I and that's it... They are barely hanging on financially and their resources can be better spent elsewhere... But the school's marketing department keeps playing the D-I card... I know that gets them students that didn't have the grades for NIU and IL State....

3 minutes in and its defense optional?

Uff. Outside the Pick 6, Clemson has shown no ability to stop Alabama. May see triple digits if this keeps up.

In the last two halves, Alabama has given up 55 points.

If Clemson wins by more than they beat us I'll accept everyone's apologies for calling us frauds.

More satisfying sight: Saban sad or Belichick sad?

So if this bama player ends up having a cramp, what in the world is going on in California? Didn’t we just see a Clemson player get some cramp work done?

Last I checked, both Alabama and South Carolina are much warmer and humid than the Bay Area. And these kids practiced in the heat and humidity of the south.

Still have to be hydrated.
