Well, it looks like the Big 12 isn't going to the playoffs. Both WVU and Baylor lost.

NW made it a decent game in Columbus- just couldn't make the big plays at the end.

I was at a bar in Austin watching the last six or seven minutes of the Texas game. It's not a stretch to say these fans might stab a ***** if the game doesn't go their way.

Should be fun as they still continue to stream in.

Nebraska hanging in there some at Wisconsin. Tommy Armstrong is mediocre, so we'll see if he can make some plays when it matters here for the Huskers.

Pretty interesting to see so many undefeated teams loose- NU ended up losing in OT, and BSU lost thanks to the score of a safety. Baylor, WV, Nebraska, BSU all lose. Michigan, Washington, and Clemson had close games, too.

Funny that Louisville gets some credibility even though they are so close to losing to really bad teams, and Clemson gets some more credit even though they should have lost more than one game- to bad teams. But Michigan and Washington don't, even though their single close game was against a tough team or rival.

Not sure what you mean by this. Michigan and Washington were ranked 2 and 4 respectively coming into the weekend, and will probably be the same coming out of the weekend. How is that not credibility?

Guys like Finebam put Clemson 2nd in spite of all of their close games, I think they should be 4th behind Michigan and Washington. He's not the only one.

UW and UM haven't really had a close one until this weekend. Clemson was challenged and should have lost to a couple of bad teams. One loss Louisville should not be the best 1 loss team, too- for the same reasons.

Clemson has beat 3 Top-15 teams, 2 of which were on the road. Michigan has played 2 road games total...against teams with a whopping 4-12 combined record. Clemson has also had the most difficult strength of schedule in college football (Michigan 19th, Washington 38th - according to: https://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/ranking/schedule-strength-by-other), and the #1 strength of record in the country. No other team in college football has beaten two of the top 10 teams in the Sagarin Ratings (indeed, Michigan and Washington have not even played a top 10 Sagarin team). Those are fairly good reasons why a lot of people rank Clemson higher than Michigan and Washington.

I'm not sure what you mean by "should have lost?" The only game Clemson got "lucky" was against NC State, and the only reason Clemson was in that position at the end was due to a lot of bad luck against them earlier in the game.

Of course, this is why the playoff is great. Assuming Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, and Washington win out, they will be able to determine who deserves more credibility on the (neutral) field.

Washington beat Arizona in OT. Of course, like the Utah game, that was on the road.

One wonders what Obama Noose Guy thinks of kneeling during the anthem...

I doubt it's consistent.

In any case, I maintain: cowardly response by UW. Haven't been this embarrassed by a B10 athletic department since that last time that I remembered that Penn State still exists.

You do realize there is a very good reason the "southern schools" are hyped? I believe the B1G has won something along the lines of 3 undisputed titles in the past 50 years, and all of those came out of Columbus, Ohio. The "southern schools" have 15 undisputed titles in the past 20 years, I believe.

Nailed the exact reason why the Playoff is great. Otherwise this year would end up like 2000 with 3-4 different having legitimate reasons to be champions yet no real way to settle it.
