Re: College Football 2016-17: Destination Tampa

10 years ago today (or maybe yesterday technically), Stanford hired Jim Harbaugh.

Idaho also playing like a team that knows how to play on an icy field. Funny, since they have a dome and play in the southeast all year.

GO VANDALS!!!!

This is totally awesome.

Bozo st needs better carpeting, though.

Re: College Football 2016-17: Destination Tampa

Navy's 4th string QB runs in the tying score from 30 yards out on his first snap of the game with three minutes to go.

Re: College Football 2016-17: Destination Tampa

Can we stop the talk about too many bowl games? If you don't want to watch, don't.

Many of these kids play their hearts out for the prize of a good season. Good for them.

Look at the emotion of some of these kids- my Vandals last night and then LaTech's players on a last second field goal. They want to play.

If some big school team doesn't, that's their problem.

I never really figured it out. It may not be the greatest football, but it's still football and some of these lower prestige games end up being the best ones (a la CMU-WKU in the Bahamas a couple years back).

As whoever was on the halftime show last night said, "If you think there are too many bowl games, learn how to work a remote!"

And if you're a college football fan, you're going to be dreaming of a bowl in May.

Re: College Football 2016-17: Destination Tampa

Lane Kiffin started out by adding De'Andre Johnson (dismissed from FSU for punching a woman) and added Kendal Briles of the Baylor sexual assault scandal. Clearly choosing to go full heel.

I'm with you. I'll b_tch about it occasionally, but in general yes.

What's he putting together, a disgraceful coaching staff or a cabinet?

Sounds like participation trophies.

Reward the top 32 in the polls/rankings via 14 bowl games + playoffs for top 4.

Participation trophies with millions in sponsorships and payouts attached. It's not like giving the little kid who batted .024 for the last place team in Little League a medal for showing up.

Aren't all bowls participation trophies when you get down to it, anyway? All the playoff did was expand the number of bowls with consequence from 1 to 3. Cutting it off at 32 isn't any different than 80 when only four teams can win the title.

6-6 teams with a win over an FCS rollover shouldn't be bowling.

Please get off Joe's lawn and stop confusing him with logic.
