Wonder how that will affect his draft stock.

Depends how pretty she is since, as we all know, ugly girlfriend means no confidence.

Nice to see that anybody can post anything about anybody and have it go viral in 24 hours. Even though I'm not going to cry much over a jock at a football factory, the world we have made for ourselves is a really unpleasant place.

Gameday will be staged at Independence Hall in Philly for Temple-ND. Might just be the #1 spot of all-time.

Apparently Wazzou fans are upset because ESPN teased them all weekend about potentially going to Pullman for the first time. Maybe don't lose to an FCS school then?

So apparently college games can start before noon local time? Stanford/Colorado will start at 11am in Boulder. So after 4 games in a row (and 5 of the last 6) at 7:30pm the Pac12 decides to passive-aggressively listen and schedules a Stanford game before noon.

We regularly get 11AM local time games...pretty sure it is the normal early game start time for large chunks of the country...

That happens all the time in the central time zone. Noon Eastern means 11am for the Big XII and Big Ten west. Many-a-student who can't be bothered to get up for their 8am will eagerly get out of bed at 6am to drink for an 11am kick.

Ahh. We don't get early games much out here. They like to schedule them late so there are no other games on TV, on the thinking that there are people on the east coast with nothing better to do than watch a game starting at 10:30pm, so to hell with the fans actually attending the game.

Iowa plays at 11 am occasionally, moreso when they're not good. Stanford's game at Northwestern was at 11am local time.

Jerry Kill is retiring due to health. Effective immediately.

That sucks bad. As an opposing fan, I really appreciated him as a coach, and what he brought- and how we, as outsiders, saw his players interact with him.

Big loss to the sport.

Dang.

Re: College Football 2015-16: The Big Ten Rises

Speculation is that whatever this is, it is very serious. A guy like Jerry wouldn't abandon his guys in the middle of the season if it wasn't very serious.

For sure. A guy who regularly put up with seizures on the sideline wouldn't just give up unless it was an extreme problem.

Re: College Football 2015-16: The Big Ten Rises

This news conference is absolutely heartbreaking. Jesus.

It sounds like his seizures have come back, really bad. Can't sleep because of them. He had 2 seizures before practice yesterday.

Re: College Football 2015-16: The Big Ten Rises

Tracy Claeys, Kill's assistant head coach, will takeover as interim head coach for the remainder of the season. Based upon how well he did with the team while Kill was out for a period of time before, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if they promote him to full-time head coach. It should only be a matter of his ability to recruit players at this point.
