Wisconsin won’t pay coaches FMV and today Purdue hired a high school assistant coach to be its DC. Keep cashing those BTN checks, B1G West.
Ratings for last night: 9.9 for the Cotton and 9.7 for the Orange, a drop of 40 percent.

McCaffrey not winning the Heisman is a ****ing travesty.
And Stanford runs a fake fumble for a TD... I feel bad for Mavsy out there![]()
Playing on the West Coast killed him. At least he'll have next year to win in. This game will go a long way to help that
Eh, honestly it seems pretty tame for them. Its not like they brought out a real cow and sacrificed it on the 50 yard line. Iowa needs to chillax.
Wow. I guess the Big 10 was the best last year and this year they're massively overrated. Michigan State got destroyed and Iowa is on it's way to do the same. Maybe OSU should have been given the top seed again regardless of the regular season.
And Stanford scores again. Wow.
Welcome to the Rose Bowl, Iowa.
Typical scooby.
There is a difference between playful parody and mocking the entire event. I'd also be very interested in MavHockey14's take; to pass judgment on a band's performance you really have to be personally present at the stadium. Can't really tell from the few snippets you get on TV.Seriously, the whole point of the show was they were breaking up with their old rival band (Cal) and needed a new rival. They want on to farmersonly.com and found Iowa's, and to them Iowa's seemed fun and they thought they would be a good rival. It was pretty complimentary. Now, they found a way to mention corn nearly every other word and had some cow-tipping going on, but c'mon, that's at worst gentle ribbing. But man, something about it reaaaaally got under the Iowa fans' skin (or maybe the first half put them in a mood). I'd be interested in seeing what MavHockey14 thought.
...
And yet... The UW Band is traditionally attired, which suggests a basic respect for the proceedings. That should be the case for any official University function. Should a debate team show up for a competition dressed up as the Village People? Or if presenting a paper at an academic conference, would a clown suit be appropriate attire?
....
You're telling me.
I need to find and rewatch that. At the game it looked so much like a real fumble, so I guess Hogan sold it well.
Also when the award lets people vote at any time during the season, so they can give it to the MVP of LSU-Alabama and ignore any remaining games. Whereas the AP PotY waits until the end and gave it to CMac.

Taking my post as a whole, not just the quoted part, I think it's clear that I'm basically asking the same question, not insisting on a particular answer. Trying to set specific standards in advance is probably hopeless. But what is appropriate attire for the marching band at a football game?
It also reinforced Oregon's mortal weakness. Take out their starting QB and the rest of the team forgets how to play football. This has been an ongoing issue since the days of Dennis Dixon.
They apparently don't recruit enough.
Might have another transfer starter next season.
The Alamo Bowl was by far the best game in this bowl season
