Vandy probably just needs to get to the 30 or so to get Sarah Fuller a shot to kick.

They've crossed the 50 once and promptly got two penalties and a sack to drop them back 25 yards.

Michigan sucks. Time to fire the entire coaching staff.

PSU is so bad, but the vaunted defensive coach has let them score 17 in a half. Come on. Are you ever going to stop forcing your system and work with what you have????

And watching the start of the 3rd, it looks like PSU knows what the plays are. Offense is terrible.

After this long, either the recruiting totally sucks or the coaching suck- either way, it's the coaches' fault.

Shorter: these teams both suck.

Minnesota cancels northwestern game already with their 47 covid cases.

Michigan finally admits what we have seen- a pause in all operations. They call it due to COVID, but I suspect it's due to really bad play.

Eh, that didn't cause them to cancel the Rich Rodriguez era.

I also just noticed that Michigan hasn't been to the Rose Bowl since 2006. They aren't going this year, so it will be the longest Rose Bowl drought for the Wolverine program since the Big 10 began its affiliation with the Rose Bowl shortly after World War II (previously 1950-1964).

Before the Michigan news it looked like there was a good chance for an MSU-Northwestern rematch with Minnesota and possibly OSU canceling. Some of the G5 and independents have done home and homes the past few years, but they’re usually early matchups with a late season rematch. This would’ve been the truest form of the H&H doing back-to-back weeks.

Still could happen, but OSU may hold out past the Wednesday deadline or Michigan could play. If OSU and Michigan both drop, then Northwestern probably ends up with a bye while MSU and Maryland play since that game was canceled two weeks ago.

I'm sure the rules will be adjusted when we get some questionable team in Indianapolis.

Provided the MSU-NU rematch doesn’t happen this week, Northwestern just clinched the West with the Minnesota cancellation. They might’ve no matter what, actually, since MSU is out of division. I’m not sure of all the tiebreakers.

In the East, it’s down to OSU, Indiana, and Maryland. If Michigan cancels or doesn’t cancel in time for a reschedule, Maryland would be eliminated by going under the six game threshold, so IU can also clinch this week no matter their outcome against Wisconsin depending on the OSU and UM decisions.

Notre Dame clinched a berth in the ACC championship game after the ACC had to reschedule games to a 9 game conference schedule for Covid. And as a side note

All time Conference Championship game berths:
Notre Dame 1
Michigan 0

We were just talking this week about referee abuse in the soccer thread. Here’s one from Texas HS football last night. Kid gets ejected and decides to run back onto the field and lay out the referee.

Team ended up winning the game, but now says they’re removing themselves from the tournament and the opponent will take their place.

Saw this article as well. I don't know "roid rage" symptomology very well, and whether this is a common type of such rage, but that was the first thing that I thought of when I saw this story (coupled with the fact that the kid is on the wrestling team).

He was also a soccer player and apparently suspended last season for a similar action.

Indiana thoroughly dominates Wisconsin at Camp Randall as 13.5 point ‘dogs. Hoo-Hoo-Hoo...

Coastal Carolina-BYU with an instant classic. BYU goes 89 yards on the final drive, but they needed 91 and were tackled at the 2 as time expired. Chanticleers win 22-17 to stay undefeated.

It should be noted BYU was playing CC because Liberty had to drop out. Basically Liberty wanted to sit back while someone else got in on their action. Jerry Falwell Jr would be proud.
