::shakes head::

Wow.

On the plus side, now that IA-OSU game means something. That one will have be a nat'l game...

Re: College Footbal 2009: Anybody want to be in the Top 5?

And Miss State gets a pick-six but then run the weirdest two-point conversion ever seen. 29-20 with 3:51 left.

How the hell can you return a interception for 120 yards? Is Miss. St. field now an extra long CFL field?

It's the SEC. They can do anything.

As it played in the background of the USC game, when you hear the "Hey" song, do you mumble "you suck" each time?

Re: College Footbal 2009: Anybody want to be in the Top 5?

You ever just get those feelings?

I had one of those when State scored. I just knew there was too much time left.

Re: College Footbal 2009: Anybody want to be in the Top 5?

Clemson shocks Miami, 40-37 in OT.

It's about time Clemson wins a game like that. I know nobody cares (nor should they) about the ACC, but Clemson is in the driver's seat to win their section, and play either VTech or GTech for the ACC title...something they haven't done in a long time.

What? The Sisters of the Poor weren't available? :p

13th ranked schedule according to Sagarin.

Glad I get BTN, the end of the MSU game was petty good. Just knew that MSU gave them too much time. If that DB takes away the inside and Iowa runs a fade it is an even easier TD...good execution for Iowa, tough job for that DB.

Agree with all of the Kiffin bashing, even if you don't pass, for fear of a sack or a holding call, try something to get another 5 yards. Struck me as being afraid to make the tough decision out of fear and instead went with a plan that had maybe a 20% chance of succeeding. Would have been a great time for a fake FG, probably greater chance of scoring than having the HS JV run out to try a FG...that would have been the ballsy thing to do.

Does another SEC crew get suspended for the Ala goal line fumble call?

Does anybody have a camera setup right down the goal line?? I've seen so many calls reviewed on the goal line this year but never a straight angle...almost like they want to have the ability to say "can't tell from that angle" whenever it suits them.

Frankly I was hoping for upsets all around.

True, some sort of outcome that leaves nothing but a turd sandwich for attendence wise at all of the BCS bowls. :D

Not really sure why Cincy fell so much in the coaches poll. Looks like thats the only reason they slid so far in the BCS poll.

We can't have them intruding on spaces rightfully reserved for there betters. After all with a resume like Texas, who has beaten... well, with a name like Texas they clearly deserve to be in the driver's seat for the title game.

the excuse is going to be that their starting QB is out for surgery... but yeah, I figure its more about the rightful territory of the upper echelons.

Because they play in the Big East.

But don't worry, they'll be "proven" to be "frauds" when someone in Big East play beats them, and no one will have to worry about the possibility.

Yah, I've never quite understood that line of reasoning either.

Minor conference team is undefeated. The criticism is their conference is weak so they are overrated. Then they lose within conference. The critics say, "see?" Well, no... no, I don't. Intraconference results indicate nothing about interconference strength.

(Replace Big East with ECACHL and move along...)

Notre Dame at #23 in the BCS. Twist undergarment of your choice. ;)

If Iowa beats Ohio State at Ohio State in a couple weeks they may actually jump Texas and play for the national title. I would say that this is a scary concept, but I actually wouldn't be surprised to see Iowa beat Florida or Alabama considering the games that the two have struggling in.

More importantly if Iowa plays for a national title odds are Penn State plays in the Rose Bowl and the Big Ten sends to teams to BCS games for like the fifth year a roll or something. More importantly Penn State might actually have a chance against the Pac-10 champ (rather it's a UCS team that's not as good as it has been for the last decade or Oregon) this year.
