Colgate @ RPI, 2/12/2022

fr. joe

Retired Goalie
Last night's games were something else! RPI surges past Cornell, 6-2, on the strength of strong 2nd and 3rd period play. Colgate overcomes Union, 6-4, with three goals in the last 1:14 of the 3rd! (Did Ben Barr's Ghost have a hand in the GWG?)

Last weekend's action? RPI's been up and down, losing to Princeton and giving Quinnipiac all it can handle, losing 1-0. Colgate's coming off a weekend sweep of Cornell.

RPI's alone in 5th place while Colgate's been steadily moving up in the pack of teams bunched between 6th and 9th.

A big game in Troy tonight. Let's go, Red!

Roller coaster ride continues - this is the Freakout and although a lot of the spirit and luster may be missing, hope the intensity is there. Go Red!

I just hope that we didn't use up our weekend allotment of goals last night.
Lets play the first period like we played the last two last night.

Lets go Red!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Freakout Day! (Well… sort of).
One of my proudest accomplishments as an RPI fan is the fact that I have attended all 43 BRF’s in person. Since I am not allowed to attend this year’s event, I’m going to watch bouncyball instead and will watch the game on RPItv at a later time. Keep good notes as always and… Let’s go RED!

We've had three "Lost Weekends" this season: Colgate-Cornell, Yale-Brown, and Princeton-Quinnipiac.
The central New York road trip began with a loss at Colgate followed by that awful loss at Cornell. The Raiders have been on the rise lately and they have already beaten us this season.

If Colgate beats us tonight in regulation, they are in 5th place with two weekends to go.

Big game tonight.

In the first meeting of the season Colgate had too much speed. Perhaps the team had unknown health issues as the next night at Cornell the wheels came off completely. Lets hope the boys play with fire in their collective bellies tonight.

When the Colgate goal was scored, Fridgen twice referred to Marshall being beaten.

Is not #34 Watson, or did he and Marshall switch numbers?
