Surprised nobody has started this yet. We're less than 5 minutes from the opening face-off!

Starting goalies:
Colgate -- Alex Evin
Cornell -- Ben Scrivens

For Colgate, Brian Day is out of the lineup tonight.

Video from Cornell All-Access is up and running :)

We're underway!

Cornell looks like they're trying to take an early lead.

Re: Colgate at Cornell, Tuesday 11/24/09

1st penalty of the game goes against Colgate. 11 min. left in the 1st.

Re: Colgate at Cornell, Tuesday 11/24/09

Colgate kills the penalty. Now a Cornell player will go to the penalty box with 8 min. to go in the 1st.

Re: Colgate at Cornell, Tuesday 11/24/09

End of the 1st period. Colgate 0, Cornell 0.

Colgate doing well so far, killing off both Cornell power-plays. But they may need to get a bit more aggressive if they want to get on the scoreboard.

Cornell doing everything they can to take a lead, but Colgate is doing everything they can to keep the Red off the scoreboard. Cornell was strongest on its 1 penalty kill, clearing the puck almost every time Colgate got it into their zone.

Re: Colgate at Cornell, Tuesday 11/24/09

Colgate 0
Cornell 0
End 1st

Decent period. Not happy with the penalties, but the PK has done a credible job of clogging the lanes and not giving Cornell much to shoot at. As usual, the Red are solid defensively, and Colgate has not had many good looks on goal. Going to need some more offensive pressure, or at least some way to break through the defense and get better looks. Otherwise, the game's about as close as the score indicates

Some stats from Live Stats:

Shots: Colgate 10-6

Faceoffs: Cornell 15-8

PP: Colgate 0-1, Cornell 0-2
