Kalty received a 5 and a game ... she will not be playing Friday at Yale per rule. No way Fargo goes beyond that.

Often people say this after the player is assessed a game misconduct. In this case, the box score shows the penalties to Kaltounkov? and McQuigge as disqualifications, which do come with an automatic suspension of a game, as you said.

Costly mistake that will impact the entire team and playoff implications. Imo, we’re the underdogs v Yale as it is. This feels like a dagger. Of all teams to be down a player against :-/

Read above...we're not down a skater !
 
We cannot take penalties.
We must shoot the puck at all costs.
Create traffic in front of the net.
Our D needs to be equal to theirs.
 
She was once this year, but we still gave up three. Our goalies are decent but not great. We surrender late goals. We play from behind until the final frame. These are recipes for disaster.
 
I can't find the womens NCAA rulebook, I thought you had to get a Match penalty to get a game ban ??
 
Crazy year. We sweep Yale, Yale sweeps Q, Q sweeps us...only in the the ECAC. Great game with some fantastic passing by our team. When they play at this level offensively they are special and really fun to watch. We now need to keep the pedal down tomorrow. Brown is a rising program. No trap game fizzle please!
 
Great win today by Colgate women against Yale, a talented opponent. Colgate took advantage of its power play opportunities (including scoring on a 5-on-3). Showed a lot of hustle today. Yale kept the pressure on during the last few minutes with a powerpaly and pulled goalie, but Colgate defense and goalie withstood the onslaught. Bravo!!
 
Colgate was the better team today ! Funny thing was, exactly like the first game in Yale, Gate was ahead 4-1, Yale gets one to bring it to 4-2, Gate makes it 5-2, Yale gets late goal exactly like the first game and same final score 5-3 !

Not just with the top teams. The four teams that will miss the playoffs will be the strongest 4 ever to miss the playoffs. And no matter which team finishes 12th, their record will be far better than any last place team in the history of the ECAC's current 12 team format. This has become such a strong and exciting conference to watch. Today, Princeton needs OT to edge Union, QU beats RPI 2-1, and Cornell beats Brown 4-2 with an ENG. No easy night for anyone any more. Love it!
 
First goal set the tone today. We had to come out on fire and score first. Yale’s first goal was an own goal. Mad they scored their third goal; our defense allowed the skater to come down the ice, round the boards, turn toward the goalie…seen it a zillion times and left a sour taste. Two hit pipes, could have been 7-3!

Anyone else concerned that we were outshot almost 2:1 again? This happens against every top team.

Woulda/coulda/shoulda…will likely miss RS Title by 1 win/loss. PWR did not help us any after today.
