Colgate 21-22

Lose one game, it negates any progress and sets us back a mile. We always lose to the wrong team at the wrong time. May be risky, but would like Murphy in goal for the rest of the season. Penalties, especially late, make it tough to keep a lead or mount a comeback against elite teams. Colgate has tons of talent but the top line can’t carry the team.

Expect to see some shakeups in the lineup.

After a great 1st period and first half of the second we go totally rogue and create a 6 consecutive penalty embarrassment essentially handing the game back to Harvard. Totally undisciplined and unacceptable with our team leaders the primary culprits. I hope the usually mild mannered Coach Fargo reads them the riot act in the locker room and sits any further violators.

Isn't Colgate winning 5-2 in the the 3rd period adding a couple of goals in the 3rd or does USCHO have the score wrong?

Knocking off the #6 team in the country, the top team in the league, 9-game league winning streak, reigning goalie of the month…hats off to special teams and a boost of confidence from Murphy! The changed lineup was necessary and the goals were a garden variety from all places on the ice. The penalties we took were worse today but we’ll continue to be undisciplined regardless. Wish Kalty had 5 younger sisters.
still some climbing to do in the league standings. Never a good sign when you need help from others to get there.

Why is it such a problem to see correct scores?
I'm not sure what the issue is. Back when collegehockeystats.net was the definitive source, schools would upload the final box somewhere, and it would show up there immediately. I don't know if other scoreboards have a setup problem where the games aren't entered correctly from the start, or if the bridge to pull the game data is suspect, or what.

The only thing that used to be flakey on collegehockeystats.net was before games started, you'd look at the live scoreboard and it looked like some team had already won; if you clicked on the game info, there would be player names from either a recent men's game or the previous home-team opponent. Once the current day data was loaded, it would be accurate, so maybe some schools just started with an old game as a template.

Last year, USCHO said they were switching statisticians. They were also looking for writers for game recaps due to COVID. It has never been the same since. Many games are finished before scores are even posted.

No jump in the PWR for the Raiders. The loss to Clarkson didn’t do us any favors. The top of the league all have similar records; a bit uncanny.

The sky is not falling. The two California girls with goals. Who would of thought they would have ended up at Colgate except Fargo. Delle Rovere still did some damage, but the rest of Harvard was neutralized

For once Colgate looked like the team that I expected would dominate the ECAC this year. Great game and fun to watch.

A defeat over Cornell. But barely. The Big Red are the most dangerous .500 team, fore sure. Penn St whips them 5-0, btw.

Glad for the win which never happens against them, but the lack of discipline, outshot 13-2 in the final frame…does not bode well when you have someone in the box for 14/60 minutes, about 25% of the game. The final weekend will be tough; can see us getting 6 points or none. Murphy will only get better.

FWIW, looked like Kalty’s 2nd goal was tipped by a Cornell stick, not hers?

Anyone know if we expect Nemo back for the stretch run. Sure would be nice to have her screening and battling down low again...With the gold medal game over a lot of good players could be returning...

She definitely made a difference with two huge assists and her general disruptive play which has been missed. Welcome back Nemo and congrats on a great Czech Olympic team contribution.

Gritty is right, come from behind against Clarkson to win, not many can say that. Did this feel like two even opponents? Feels more like Colgate escaped with the W and barely salvaged the season split. Outshot by a wide margin and our standard penalty w/ 2min left is a real gift to opponents. Clarkson feeling shafted and Colgate feeling relieved with the lucky bounce. Sorry Nemo is a senior. Would hate to think where we'd be w/out Kalty or Greig. Serdachny a bit cooler with goal output lately. Murphy is a relief but will probably alternate with unstable Osborne today. And the woeful men right where I'd expect them to be, below .500 yet again. SLU always plays us tough. Hope we strike first. The PWR is unforgiving.

TB stay away from the medicine cabinet. Hey we didn't graduate from UMN or WISCO as they call it, we graduated from Colgate where we always suffer with the teams we love. It only makes the highs higher and the lows cynically expected. We'll win today and stay home for the playoffs and Murphy will be in goal. If Gosling was back it would be tougher. I like our second line...

Until last night I also thought our men were playing competitive hockey for the first time in years. Hopefully we can still shock someone on that side as well.

Question, we are in third place, same number of wins as #2 and #3, I understand the point system(kinda). My Q is why are we #8 seed this weekend ?
