Colgate 21-22

Colgate should be tied with #9 UMD in today’s poll. Wisconsin & Clarkson didn’t come out ‘rusty’ after a month off. Dartmouth had a 5x3 pp; better teams would have easily capitalized. Excuses.

We really miss our power forwards Nemo and Smigs. Only Kalty left to do the dirty work down front and we need her sniping. Does anyone know what's up with Smigs and when we'll see her back?

She has been injured. Word is she will be back this coming weekend.

Even through 2 with the Larries and we look flat!
Our best players are all off a bit. We'll be lucky to win this one with Lucy Morgan in net for them...

A lot of resilience to come back and steal some points, but it won’t get the job done.
Colgate has been overrated all season, surrenders more goals than the upper half of the league, and has not defeated any top ECAC team. Our PWR is more indicative of our success than our record, and it is still lower than most. Have seen nothing that makes me think the Raiders are on par with Clarkson, Yale (L, 4-0) or Qpac (L, 4-0) to be able to beat them, home or away. We often give up the first goal and play from behind. We outshoot opponents only to lose. Are they quality shots? Lift the puck. Shoot through traffic. Just don’t see a national contender in this (albeit) talented team. The schedule ahead is daunting, hope we can split some series.

TchrBill you are spot on. You need to shoot to score I agree, but if not a score, a shot should ideally generate a rebound we can cash in. This is not happening. We continue to dominate play in our opponent's zone but with less success than is acceptable. Shooting drills please! As you also suggest the remainder of our season is loaded with tough games which will quickly reveal whether we are champs or pretenders. Our game in Nashville against UM was damn good. If we can get back to something close we will win most. Right now we're nowhere close and it starts with the first line. Those having initials other than DG need to up their games and fast. They are both too good not to dominate...

Big game tonight in New Haven. Good chance to show what we are made of and avenge our bad loss in Hamilton. We're on the road so that helps...

We've come to play which is great to see. Excellent first period, fun to watch. Yale is scary as they have several players who are quick, quick and very dangerous. We've had some good chances, one a great save on Kalty point blank. That said, the energy is there across the board tonight and so far we look very focused.

Vic B that is another shocker. I was wondering if Selander snuck in goal.

RPI's goalie played really well and made a Selander-esque glove save with about 3 min left in the game that would have won it for CCT. GWG was also a great snipe roofed into the net.

When I saw your post I thought to myself Blitz for RPI must have had a good game and she is not even on the scorer's sheet. So RPI must have some talent.
