Colgate 2025-26

Anyone making the trip to Hamden Saturday? Shabby? IBT?

I don’t know my plans yet, but I am leaning towards ‘no.’ Last weekend, I decided to take a run up to RPI on Saturday for an easy victory and we all know how that went. he he he. Results like that take the wind out of my sails sometimes. But, we’ll see, a good showing on Friday at Princeton might change my mind…

Individual game statistics can (and often) are misleading, but over the course of (almost) a full season they do produce reasonable results...currently, we are 54th in the country in Shots on Goal/Game...our shooting from "Close" vis-a-vis our collective opponents is 52nd...we also are the 10th oldest team in the country...I hope the streak continues tonight but I'm not holding my breadth...

Common sense says a 19-0-4 regular season record is going to include a Loss sooner rather than later.
I expect Andrew Takacs will be in goal tonight. (NOTE: REID DYCK IS IN GOAL FOR 'GATE; ARTHUR SMITH IN GOAL FOR PRINCETON).
I hope we score first.
And we need to stay out of the penalty box.
Having said all that, I am getting ready to watch on ESPN and I have alcohol on standby.
Go ‘Gate!

Colgate penalty. Killed.

Princeton 11, Colgate 7, Faceoffs won after one.
Princeton 10, Colgate 5, SOG after one.
Colgate 0, Princeton 0, score after one.

Official gets tangled up with Princeton player, who goes down... and Colgate scored! Max Nagel from Michael Neumeier and Ryan Sullivan.

Getting very chippy.
Matching minor penalties (unsportsmanlike conduct). Killed.

Colgate 18, Princeton 14, faceoffs won after two.
Princeton 24, Colgate 17, SOG after two.
Colgate 1, Princeton 0, score after two.
A one-goal lead in the third period against Princeton isn't feeling overly comfortable.

Princeton challenging for possible head contact major penalty. Unsuccessful.

9:16 remaining.
Princeton goal. Colgate challenge for goaltender interference. Unsuccessful. Good goal. 1-1.
6:06 remaining.
5:14 remaining.
2:30 remaining.
1:48 remaining and Princeton takes the penalty (slashing).

1-1 after Regulation. Going to 3-on-3 OT.
45.4 remaining in OT.
1-1 Final Score after OT.
The streak continues... 20-0-5.

Reid Dyck is the reason we scored two points tonight in the ECAC Hockey standings. Wow!!

Take the two points and run...Dyck was very, very solid...unfortunately Q-Pac was roasted by Cornell last night and will, no doubt, be in a very foul mood tonight...
