Colgate 2024-25 Harder Hockey

Jake the Snake was a nickname for one of the McGlynn (sp?) brothers in the late 60's, is that you Jake ?

Takacs played very well at times but was inconsistent, when he was good he was good, but conversely was true also. We also have Reid Dyck a six foot four recruit who is also a Boston Bruins draft pick.

Was he the goaltender you were excited about Shabby?
Yes, highly rated, the only thing I didn't like is he's only about five feet nine, I like the bigger goalies, they don't have to flop around as much. A disappointment but I think we'll be fine.

This is what I have seen so far on the Internet, so the assumption is that it is all 100% accurate…

IBT, noticed that only seven (so far) have been added to our roster for 2025-26...Neutral Zone had indicated several additional for this year but my guess is that a couple of these will be deferred until 2026-27...the situation is now so fluid that going the "overcommit" route, a practice routinely done by major larger programs, is now a necessity for virtually all DI programs...I also noticed via Neutral Zone that all eleven of Bowling Green's 2025 commits are from major/junior in Canada...I believe that if major/junior kids become disaffected by the college route they can drop out and return to previous leagues by 1/10/2026 AND colleges will not be allowed to replace them on the roster. Very complicated these days, but I do have confidence in the Harder team to be ahead of the curve...

Does this mean Iowa is coming to visit Alfond again? There is a new addition so it will be a little different entrance, merch store, concessions, etc…

If this is all true, I will definitely be at Alfond Arena again. I was there for Omaha. I was there for Colgate. And I will be back again for ‘Gate. I just hope that the Nadeau brothers (and their vocal aunts) are there again!! he he he

Just saw it posted… am legitimately stoked about that weekend. I love Maine’s Alfond and their sophisticated college hockey fans. And I just love the Orono area (need to find that Asian restaurant again). I just hope it’s a Winter Wonderland in late October, since it wasn’t the last time ‘Gate was there (though the drive home was treacherous).

It probably won’t have snow. Will be brisk with leaves turned and falling. Lots of pumpkins and some Halloween decorations. In the spirit of Halloween, you can go see Stephen King’s victorian mansion and his creepy gate.
