It has been a very disappointing year, so far. I guess we can blame it on injuries, suspensions, whatever. Well, don't give up the ship. If it weren't for all the early season hype, in a typical year 18-11-3 tied for fourth battling for a top four spot wouldn't seem so bad. Maybe time to start a run, we beat Yale Friday and the worm turns, we need some help but Q-Pac can't rest, they need PWR wins. It's not too late, cmon posters, huge game tomorrow night. As hard as it's been, we can still have a great season !

It´s as you´ve said. The early season hype from last year makes an 18-11-3 record be disappointing, but a few years ago, we would have killed for a season like this one. It´s been a while since we came even close to 20 regular season wins. I have faith in the boys. Take it one period at a time. Let´s win period 1 against Yale and so on.

This has been a good season hands down, just not the outstanding one we expected or wanted. But to be honest the team just has to make it to the tournament, at that point it is a new season and really wouldn't matter what we were seeded. I mean even Robert Morris is 23 in the pairwise, so the #1 seed isn't an automatic win.
Win tomorrow and hopefully get the bye but more importantly move up to probably 17-18 in the pairwise. (There is a range but a likely place is 17-8). And then just keep winning.

But compare our record so far to any of the teams from 2006-07 through 2012-13, and this has been a good season. We've had at least 1 key player out of the lineup in EVERY game so far, and we've managed to win 18 of them. In 2011-12, when we were 12-4-2 on January 1, then crashed to a 19-17-3 finish. Similarly, in 2012-13, we had a 13-9-2 record in late January, but folded to a 14-18-4 finish.

We need to fly out of the gate and set the pace. We do not play well from behind and have difficulty (at times) holding a lead. I hope Murphy keeps his head, but I think he'll be good for at least 4 PIMs...enough to open the door for the Eli.

Yale leads the country in scoring defense. Cornell is third and Colgate is seventh. All three teams are under 2.1 goals allowed per game. Raiders' goalie Charlie Finn is the national shutout leader. Yale is last in the league in penalty minutes.
...Alex Lyon (G) leads every category over Charlie Finn. And as shabby says, it all starts with goaltending. This would be a great time to get s/o #7.

Other than ESPN3 does anyone know if the game will be streamed another way? Maybe the Ivy League Network or PLN? I don't get ESPN3 and am looking for alternative sources. Will be listening to GR besides.

Ivy League digital network for $10. Or you could pay $16 for a month pass and get both games this weekend. If you're looking to get a free broadcast, your only option is the radio.
Side note: Charlie Finn has yet to play against Yale in his career. Make it count tonight! I'll be there cheering the team on!

Thanks to Rainman's advice at the beginning of the month, I think I still get the IVY League Network until March 1. It was like 15.95 for the month of February instead of ten dollars for one game. Great deal, I've seen many games, even other teams.
I clicked on ESPN3 and got a popup saying my Java or Flash or something was outdated and needed to update to get ESPN3. Well, I clicked on it and got a dam virus, be careful.

If you have the Ivy League network you can also keep an eye on the Harvard/QU game (the most important game for us other than ours) as that is at Harvard. Our game shoudl be at different points because it is being broadcast on ESPN3 but who knows. And if the games at Harvard or Yale matter to us on Saturday you can catch those as well after our Brown game.

Don't use a laptop. Use the WatchESPN app for iOS. They don't use Flash.
Also shabby, check your ILDN subscription. It will auto-renew if you don't cancel, and will also specify what date it will auto-renew. Finally, red133883 is right, if you still have the full league-wide subscription, you'll also be able to watch the QU/Harvard game tonight.

Brown scares me. Not to be taken lightly. They are playing well, and that tie with Cornell will just have them more jacked up for us. Need to forget the Yale tie and move on. We can do it.

That sure felt like a playoff game.
We scored first to take a 1-0 lead. It was good to see Borkowski light the lamp after all he's been through this year. But then in a span of 13 seconds (our lucky number
), Yale took the lead in what felt like a blink of an eye. But in the 3rd, we battled back to tie it, on a mini-breakaway by Tyson Spink. Then in overtime, Joe Wilson had a mini-breakaway of his own after a Yale defensive zone turnover, but Alex Lyon denied him, effectively stealing a point for the Bulldogs. But Quinnipiac did us a favor and beat Harvard. So as far as tomorrow goes:
Just win, baby.
Win and we finish 4th. We now control our own destiny for the bye.

Why is our game taking place at 4 PM, while the others at 7 PM? Our game will be over before the others even start! If we lose this afternoons, Dartmouth, Harvard, and Cornell will salivate at the opportunity to pass us. Which makes winning this afternoon even more important.

I was wondering the same(Brown Puck Weekend) lol. I like the early game for selfish reasons, can't wait to watch.
We played very well last night, we had better chances, especially in OT(Wilson) semi breakaway, dam. We are a different team now, lines are intact, makes all the difference in the world. Beat Bruno !!
