Re: Colgate 2014-15

I will boost your confidence. In 2007-2008, we beat SLU 5 out of the 6 times we played. From 2008-2009 through 2012-2013, they went 12-1-1 against us. Last year we went 4-0 against them. So our rivalry is obviously about prolonged streaks. Still, it should be a great game tomorrow (Friday) given that it will see two of the best goalies in the game facing each other.

I actually was noticing this trend myself the other day and it is quite interesting. Don't forget to add in that you guys swept us during this regular season to make it 6-0 against us the past couple of seasons!

We seem balanced but do not top the charts and appear middle-of-the-pack. Three wins over the same opponent will be tough. Someone boost my confidence...shabby!

We are healthy for only the second week ALL season, we have been playing at less than 100%. In our last seven games(with Borowkowski back) we are unbeaten at 6-0-1.

In those seven games we have given up nine goals, Spiro played in the last two, we played basically with five dmen until last weekend. Finn's GAA is something like 1.30 in that span and 1.98 for the season.

This team is completely a balanced unit now, this is the team that garnered all the accolades preseason. They say it's hard to beat a team three times, I think you can throw that out the window.

I think we're hungry, the seniors know it's their last chance, I predicted Wilson to have a breakout year, I think he shows up big this weekend.

Kulevich is our unsung hero, last Friday he was a +3, watch him, when he's on the ice good things happen.

We don't have players leading categories but we have many middle of the pack players making it very hard to defend against, we're going to be a tough out.

And finally Spiro, what can you say about what he has endured ? We have zero excuses now, it's going to take a very good team to beat us.

Great post.

Hey Saints or Got 6,

Has SLU played on a large sheet this season?

I don't think we have off the top of my head. I'll go check the schedule to make sure. It will be a bit of an adjustment, but one that I think will benefit us as the game goes along due to our team speed and style of play.

Thanks, shabby, appreciate your response.
So who is making the trek? I've got my tix but am still on the fence. Maybe when we win Friday...

I will be making the trip up from Boston tomorrow morning. Ideally, I'd like to get there by 4 and take in the Quinnipiac/Harvard game, but I'm not going to rush the beautiful drive up to Lake Placid. It's breathtaking. Don't forget there's a pre-game reception at 5:30. At least 200 Colgate alumni (myself included) have signed up for it. Go 'Gate!

Re: Colgate 2014-15

All quiet on the board before the storm....I am hoping that means people made the trip up. I won't be going until Saturday, if we advance. We have to get to them early. We have the experience so we need to use it. Letting them stay along early will just make things tougher.
