Re: Colgate 2013-14

I'd like to see a raised hand from posters who thought in August this team would be: ranked #19 now; have a home play-off series locked up; a possible bye in the first round; an outside chance to be a Cleary Cup winner; a chance to be at LP; and a team that has come back from so-so play in the early part of the season + a below .500 record after those two horrible losses to UMASS?

I don't see many hands......maybe one in Rome, NY... but not many more :)

Anyone making the trip to Hamden Saturday?

I have the game circled on my calendar as a NESN broadcast, for those not making the trip to Hamden. Unless there have been changes to the broadcast schedule, this should be a national game on most satellite/cable networks.

Re: Colgate 2013-14

we will find out on friday, my guess is that it will be the same broadcast situation as the cornell game on friday

NESN is a regional sports network, and is only available on cable if you live in New England. It is available nationally on DirecTV, but only as part of an add-on sports package. So if you have Time Warner Cable in Central NY, you're out of luck.

I stand corrected. I should have stated that it should be on DirecTV, according to the CHN preseason schedule. Sorry for the misinformation :(

Is our new strategy just recruiting twins? I am not complaining after the success of the spinks, but I bet GR is not be the biggest fan of this strategy.

It's worked for Quinnipiac. Connor and Kellen Jones. Brothers Loren and Alex Barron, Connor and Tim Clifton and coming in 2014-15 twins Jonah and Nathan Renouf and brothers Bo and Canon Pieper. Go down the road to 2016 and 2017 when the Petruzzelli brothers come to Quinnipiac.

Re: Colgate 2013-14

And Cornell. 5 sets of twins or teammate brothers during the last decade (Abbott, Devin, McRae, Nash, Kennedy).

Dare I make you cringe with RPI's set of identical twins (although they never played simultaneously)? :D

Brothers are always a nice thing in terms of line chemistry, as they've had the chemistry for years and years. Granted, they aren't always on the same position, such as the Long brothers (one's a goalie).

FWIW Dep't: Sullivan has us on top of the Tigers, 5-2 and losing at QU, 4-2. Not that this means anything...
