Miserable performance by RPI, Clarkson and Cornell yesterday. Definitely going to hurt the SOS for the league. Can't worry about everyone else though, need to take care of business tonight.

Any body else watching the game on Gate TV & the Gate TV score baner is running across the top blocking the actual play with the puck?

Yeah, it was blocking the goals so we couldn't see any shots on net. It was corrected at the start of the 2nd but it came with no audio for a short while -- resulting in two Canisius PPG's 30 seconds apart.

We're up 4-2 after two, if anyone's interested.

...and the score banner bug returned in the 3rd period as there were times where I was unable to view the goal Colgate was defending. But at least we won. It wasn't pretty, especially with Colgate getting into penalty trouble early in the 2nd, resulting in our 2-0 lead almost instantaneously becoming a 2-2 draw.

Fortunately we were able to shake off the rust of a 20-day layoff, Kurtis Bartliff and Billy Rivellini both returned from injuries, and we didn't fall victim to the "trap game." Bring on Ferris State. These two games will be HUGE.

We did what we had to do. We also hit the post four times, score was not indicative of the play(IMHO).

A Happy 2012 to all the posters here! Hard to believe we won 20 games in 2011. Even more unreal is the fact that we won 12 games in the last 3 months when we only won 11 in the ENTIRE 2010-11 season!

Hopefully this year results in a lot of good things :D

I just learned that Jim Craig's (goalie.....USA team, 1980) daughter Taylor is a student at Colgate and playing on the women's team. She is a forward. Cool.

Good to see we took care of business against Canisius. Now unbeaten in the last 7. Good times

The season begins in earnest now. A surprisingly meaningful series at Ferris State (for both of us, I imagine). Gonna need at least a split, I think. Then it's ECAC play to the end

This team has a real shot at a special 2012. Let's get to it!

with two games at Ferris and road games next at Princeton and Q-Pac I wouldn't be disappointed going 2-2 over next two weekends...rest of schedule will then be within state of NY with more home than away games...keep doing what we're doing 'Gate...ready and willing to travel during March...

This is so great, having a hard time holding myself back !! Again though, I must reiterate, these two games are just hugeeeeeeeee !

Union lost their two games out west last weekend, so for PWR they have a mountain to climb. One writer says they almost have to win the ECAC Tourny to get the autobid. I imagine us beating Ferris and Union beating us would help immensely.

I think at least a split and we're in great shape in the PWR for the stretch run. Losses would hurt our PWR for the rest of the year. Ferris lost two last weekend so they will be hungry, and home. Let's just take care of business.

I checked out Ferris's website and they are streaming both games(7.99)ea so I will be watching on my comp. Saturday is at four pm.


Wonder why I'm in red ???
