Au contraire Rain. Old geezers such as myself need the chairbacks for comfort. Sitting on a bench is not for me for 2+ hrs. On the topic of pricing, I have to say raising the chairback seats by $2.00 each of the last two years is over the top. Has the AD ever considered an alumni ID system so that grads can get a few bucks off per ticket? ( I know this would not help everyone who posts here) Lowering the hot dog price to $1.00 from $3.75 might help up the attendance also.

I agree with your previous post Shabby: 2500-3000 is the number I'd like to see for the new rink.

And Gate Radio: I think I heard some cymbals and maybe a bass drum during the 3rd period of the MC game. The students seem to have pretty much filled up the general admission seats by the end of the game ;)

Last year at this time the record was 3-12-1. Little we did we know we would lose 10 more games over the next 11 to get them to 3-22-2.

RPI Ranking at that time I believe was #56, because we did beat Sacred Heart and Army for 2 of those 3 wins.

Where are we now?

INCH mid-season report by Joe Glad on the ECAC has a nice piece about 'Gate being the "suprise" league team, and photo of Kurtis Bartliff. Also Smitty is named to his All-ECAC mid-season team. Cornell-Colgate games are highlighted as "can't miss" games. BTW, any tickets left for those two games??

Yikes!...bump.

Union beats Merrimack last nite, 3-1. Not sure if this helps us or not. Dutchmen will be tough this year, especially in their barn.

Merry Christmas to all! Looking forward to December 30th....too long a stretch without hockey.

It will if we beat them. It also helps our SOS. I think we actually moved up a bit after that game ended. The two games at Ferris are KEY.

Share Shabby's sentiments...my Christmas wish is basically good health for the team and then, what happens, happens...kudos to the kids and the coaching staff for their commitment to taking a very tough situation in early February and turning it into a positive...go 'Gate...

Merry Christmas everyone. After where we were a year ago, I think we've all got what we wanted this year (so far), maybe a bit more ...

Friday's game vs. Canisius will definitely have the "trap game" moniker attached to it. But at the same time, it'll provide the team with a good warm-up/preparation for the two games at Ferris State.

Here's to an outstanding 2nd half of the season!

Never mind, Shabby. Found it on the College Hockey Weekly website. Also note: Smitty was voted best forward in the nation at mid-season :)
