Re: climate change times are a changin'

Tech sweeping the Wolverines in Houghton is considered "common" on that scale. ;) :D

Read this.

And then tell me what the hell Joni Ernst is talking about. I can't figure it out.

McConnell who I cited before staked his entire reputation on Obama being a one term President. When that failed he should have resigned in shame. Instead he's running for another term on the "nothing" platform. The entire GOP platform this time.

I'm pretty sure the "nothing" platform includes the abolishment of the EPA which fits this thread.

Re: climate change times are a changin'

I have two US Senators up here that don't know the difference between their elbow and their a... nose, yeah, nose.

I'm going to fix my own backyard before complaining about the drainage from someone else's. ;)

Re: climate change times are a changin'

Senator James Inhofe is slated to become the new chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.

He believes the environment is controlled by what is documented in the first book of the Bible.
“[T]he Genesis 8:22 that I use in there is that ‘as long as the earth remains there will be seed time and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, day and night.’ My point is, God’s still up there. The arrogance of people to think that we, human beings, would be able to change what He is doing in the climate is to me outrageous.”

Thus, as I have said in this thread numerous times. There is no climate change and the head of the committee on the Environment knows that. The Earth is in good hands.

Do Republican bibles just not have all that stuff about taking care of the poor? In their version, do the moneychangers whip out AK-47s in Matthew 21:12 and blow Jesus away?

It's expected that people take the initiative themselves and not force the care upon the government.

So we're to read Leviticus literally, but take Jesus's own words with a grain of salt. Got it.
No, I'm saying to take it all wit ha grain of salt. Just look at the situation he was in when those lines were uttered. He's responding to the Pharisees, who were, more or less, the ruling Jews at the time. He's a challenger to them as a religious authority, so he states that he's interestd in God's works, not the governments. He's not giving them any ammunition to go to the Romans to have him declared treasonous.

Also, I'm an atheist, so I'm looking at this from a purely practical means. God schmod, he was saving his own a**.
