So far has been better than I expected, and about as good as I hoped for. 3 road wins in December hopefully sets us up well for a bunch of road games to finish - 9 league road games, only 6 league home games (plus the 2 against UMD).

If we can split those next 6, I'd call that a success, and think the year gets easier from there!

Glad to see a strong win to end the semester. Thought they might be able to sneak into the top 20, but for second week in a row they are 21st. But after the past few years, I'll gladly take 21st.

All but 5 knights recorded a point last night at Sacred Heart. With all the talk of how well the freshmen are doing, it is good to see some of the upper class men picking it up. They really have some balanced scoring. Seniors have accounted for 29% of the scoring, Juniors-29%, Sophomores-7% and Freshmen-35%.

I sure hope we can get a good crowd on Jan 2-3. It's a Monday and Tuesday and the students wont be back yet. Those are big games and we want to show those big bad west teams that we belong.

And in other news, Yahoo had an article about the Florida Everblades and their hideous holiday jerseys. Three Clarkson alums are on that team, Matt Beca, Shea Guthrie, and Phil Paquet. A true Christmas miracle :eek: . I am sure Tech fans as well as myself are rooting for your son as much as one of our own...still irks me he wasn't a knight. Merry Christmas!

Ok, just guarenteed my spot in heaven as I just spent the entire day with the in-laws. Just wanted to take a break and wish all the folks associated with the Golden Knights new, old and on their way a very Merry Christmas!

The New Year is upon us and a tough stretch it will be, tUMD at Cheel for two on the 3rd and 4th, then RPI and Union on the road for the 7th and 8th.....after this week we will know what we have....if anything:eek:

January is definitely hell month for us. #5, #5, @#10, @#15, @#1, @Brown, Quinnipiac, #19. Only two games this month against non-ranked opponents, the most important of which are on the road. I fully expect us to go 1-4-1 through the first five games this month. I would consider anything better than that a real success and if we go .500 or better we'll be a team to look out for the rest of the year. All starts again tonight... 0-1-0 so far, lets make it 1-1-0! I think with line matching we might be able to hang with UMD.

Very nice road win for our guys. I thought they played hard all night and as every game passes they show a "never quit attitude", no matter what the scoreboard reads. That being said, the game could have gone either way.

Huge win last night. It's always a tough game against RPI. Glad to sneak it out at their barn. Let's hope we can get some points against Union tonight.

Played well despite the split this weekend. Took Yale to the wire and got a huge road win over Brown. If you asked me if we would be 2 points from 2nd place this late in the season, I would take it. The youngsters are playing very well and this team is showing me that the future may be bright.

So the Knights were predicted to finish 12th and they ended up 7th. So do we consider this a successful season? It was a tough ending to the season, not only the series against Harvard but really the entire 2011 part of the calendar. We can't really blame injuries this year like the last few. The team was just very inconsistent. I guess it is time to look to next season. My biggest hope for next year is that we still have #33 between the pipes. But before we get to next year, let's see how bad my preseason prediction for this year were...


1) Freeman will get the 31 points he needs to join the Century Club.- Only got to 88. The scoring seemed to be more spread out this year. 11 Players had 10+ points as apposed to 9 last year. Now our closest to the century club is Tremblay with 52, not holding my breath. Also, congrats to Scott for signing with the Victoria Salmon Kings.

2) CU will host a playoff game.- Well they did and they looked like the better team for most of the series, too bad the outcome was the way it was.

3) Roll keeps his job.- TBD. again, not holding my breath.

4) The Lake Placid game will be a big success.- I had a great time at LP. There isn't much better than beating SLU in OT in one of the most historic hockey rinks. The crowd was great. Pretty sure there were more CU fans there than at most home games. I hope this becomes a yearly thing.

5) There will be 5 or more guys to score 10+ goals (only 2 last year)- Only had 2 again, but three others were close-ish...

Only about 7 months till the puck drops! Let's Go Tech!

Can't believe I had to search for this thread. *** Clarkson fans. While I wish Roll got another shot, I do think Casey Jones will be solid in the next couple of years.

I thought most Clarkson fans were too good for USCHO and went to their own message board... ;)

I know you, drewcu, FireKnight, and a few of the others aren't. You could say the same about LynahFan, DisplacedCornellian, and a few of the others from that school to the south and slightly west of me. ;) Bear Red is NOT included in that list.

Didn't Coach Roll get hired at a D-III school?

Nazareth - a start up program in Rochester.

Still waiting for the #1 assistant to be hired and for the schedule and recruits to be released.

We've pretty much figured out Clarkson's entire schedule. At least it was posted on that other message board.

I just read that Clarkson now has ZERO assistant coaches. Chris Rogles has stepped down......
