Summer doldrums....ugh the off season. No idea what to expect from this team next year, but since this is a contract year we have to assume Roll is toast if this team is sub .500....or probably anywhere near .500 for that matter.:eek:

Well drew, only 63 more days left in the off season. Call me crazy but I honestly think they will be competitive this year. I thought they really picked it up at the end of the season. One of their biggest problems was injuries and with a 30+ man roster, that shouldn't be as big of a problem. Also Karp was noticeably better after Rogles came in and I imagine he will only get better for next season. Plus I really like the sound of how Tremblay and Sexton are doing at Bruins camp. And the Freshmen sound good too.

For some summer predictions, who do we think will be the captains? I think Freeman and DeFazio will keep theirs and I think either Boro and/or Oakley could get an A.

And on another note, any word if they are keeping the same jerseys or are they going to come to their senses and get rid of the emerald knight?

Well Knucklepuck, I hope you are right. It is still Freeman and Defazio's team , so I would assume Freeman gets the 'C'... Defazio 'A' and Boro will be the player to be named later :D. They will compliment each other, Freeman leads by example, like Nick Dodge in the past....Defazio is all heart and soul and Boro is just plain scary. :D

The 'emerald helmet' just has to go.....i think it is a licensing contract that needs to expire....please let it be soon!

I miss the gold helmets. I know Roll from dealing with him in Oswego. I'm rooting for him. I hope this team gets on track. I do think he needs a deep playoff run in order to save his job.

least happy students. Comments?

Suprised that this years captains and rosters have not been made public.
In other news, I see that both Sakaris brothers are no longer listed as 2011 recruits, I am sure the school passed on the older brother and then we lost the younger one as a result. The school just had to put that issue behind them, onward and upward.
Any predictions on the up coming season? I wouldn't know where to begin. :confused:

I am not optimistic. On the road first playoff week.

If the team starts off slowly, the "Fire George" threads will be vying with the "Fire Timmay" threads.

I remember waiting a long time last year too for the roster to come out. It didn't come out until late September. But of course with all the issues they had last summer, they probably didn't know who was going to be on the team for a while. I bet it will be out in the next week or so.

They added back the interlocking CU in the middle of the ice, hopefully with the ice restored to the way it looked a few years ago, they play will do the same.

Now for some predictions...
1) Freeman will get the 31 points he needs to join the Century Club.
2) CU will host a playoff game.
3) Roll keeps his job.
4) The Lake Placid game will be a big success.
5) There will be 5 or more guys to score 10+ goals (only 2 last year)

The puck drops 3 weeks from today. Let's Go Tech!

I'd say those are all definitely doable. 2 and 3 are intertwined, good chance 3 doesn't happen unless 2 happens.

That would imply there are more than 5 Clarkson fans on this board to make the threads.

Roll has to host a playoff game to stay employed? What if the team goes on a road tear like Brown did last year?
