CHL to NCAA Recruiting Megathread

05 F Reggie Newman commits to Ferris State, plays for Victoria Royals

Currently the top 2 goaltenders in the OHL are both rookies with prior college commits.

Ottawa 67's Ryder Fetterolf (Penn State), in 14 games he's got 11-2-1-0 with a 0.926 save percentage and 1.90 GAA
Kingston Frontenacs' Matthew Minchak (Colgate) in 11 games has a 5-3-1-1 record, but a 1.99 GAA and a 0.934 save percentage.

Ottawa is doing much better than was expected, and Fetterolf is a part of that. Kingston isn't fantastic but it definitely isn't on Minchak- that's more goal support.

Also at the tops of the leaderboards is Kitchener Rangers' Christian Kirsch 🦈 (UMass) and a few older goaltenders that could be targets of

Speaking of OHL goaltenders, 07 G Bjorn Bronas signed with the Sudbury Wolves, Minnesota State commit. He was having a tough year in Sioux City and the team was planning on moving him in some way. The Wolves drafted him in 2023 and were also wanting to shake up the goalie room. It isn't their only problem, but it definitely is one. For example, tonight against the Barrie Colts, the Wolves put 45 shots on net and allowed 22 against. They lost 5-2. Bronas was backing up the poor 09 rookie they would prefer to not ruin, so he might get a good run in net.
