Tuesday, thought the trade deadline ended already. some teams have announced their team but cuts can still be made until tomorrow.Do you know when the QMJHL cut downs are done and the final line ups need to be turned in?
With it being mentioned a couple times throughout that, it will be interesting to see how some of these guys adjust to the no fighting aspect of college hockey.
It was an excellent read, very nice work!
Thanks for all the hard work on this. It's great to get some info on Ward. I look forward to watching him grow.
QMJHL has banned fighting so they should be ok, at least with the concept of fight=suspension off the hop. OHL guys have a threshold for max fights before additional fights are auto suspensions. With it being mentioned a couple times throughout that, it will be interesting to see how some of these guys adjust to the no fighting aspect of college hockey.
i love when right after i complete a project they release the actual roster with some curveballs, because not only are those two missing, they have FOUR NEW USPORTS TRANSFERS.Great CCHA recap. Bemidji just dropped their roster today, and Birnie and LeGall must be opting for another year in the CHL as they are not on the roster.
They got you again!i love when right after i complete a project they release the actual roster with some curveballs, because not only are those two missing, they have FOUR NEW USPORTS TRANSFERS.
legall i’m not surprised about, he could make some real noise with Everett after a strong start to his WHL career, birnie makes some sense but is definitely news to me
i will edit the post tonight with the new additions![]()
Thanks for the info/heads up on the article coming soon. I have been busy with work and my own son's hockey, so I have not been able to follow as closely as I have in the past.ok so some wild things going on in Bemidji State's recruiting class, which I shouldn't be surprised about considering this is Mr Tom "Sports is weird" Serratorre, but here we are. two of these adds are easy enough but the other two have some not-insignificant pro experience in the minor leagues. as in, AHL and ECHL. Jared Rubado is putting out an article on the how of that situation.
Rubado also reminded me of the fact that Brady Birnie had been traded to Penticton in the WHL Expansion Draft (in a trade deal that included Boomer DeMars, which was more notable than Birnie's rights being traded).
enough about beavers. let's talk about the real news, the most important merging of two powerhouses announced today... obviously talking about the OHL moving to flohockey.
no worries- most of this is all breaking news. Thanks for the info/heads up on the article coming soon. I have been busy with work and my own son's hockey, so I have not been able to follow as closely as I have in the past.

WHL has a multi-year deal w/ victory plus, not totally sure if it'll be entirely free like the playoffs were but it could be.Flohockey now has OHL and QMJHL. Is WHL also going to be added?
post is updated to fix bemidji state's roster, add the augustana commit, update rankings.
Boy, how things have changed. Right around 2000, when BSU was in their D-I transition year, they had a commitment from a stud defenseman out of the Maritimes (I can't remember his name). The problem was, he played two exhibition games in the Q, never signed a contract, and was let go. He couldn't clear the clearinghouse at the time, even though the clearinghouse arbitrator in charge of his case was an ex NCAA hockey player who had played a few major junior games in his day and got cleared for NCAA competition. We have our answers... Tom Serratorre is a mad genius who wanted to "give it the ol' college try". I missed him.
tl;dr: Both had been deemed eligible for USports, Tennessee had a basketball player with 1 year of pro declared eligible. They threw darts and hoped it would stick. It did. 10/10 no notes
this sort of situation was exactly what the inevitable lawsuit was about, because that sort of pedantic nonsense was not about to hold up in court. i do like seeing the USports transfers getting these chances, Serratorre just took it to a wild new level for fun and it worked.Boy, how things have changed.
