Cheap *** Sioux!

Re: Cheap *** Sioux!

Legality/illegality aside, Frattin completely DESTROYED Wehrs, who probably had it coming with all the whiny-beeching and pansy-arse after-the-whistle slapping he did that series.

Your comment indicates you've lost perspective on what is important in the game of NCAA college hockey. I think it's important to remember that these are young college athletes, not professionals, with a bright future ahead of them in whatever future endeavors they decide to pursue. I've been very adamant against these kinds of vicious hits among student-athletes no matter what team they play for, particularly highlighted this year by Chay Genoway's struggle to return to normal cognitive functioning as a student much less an athlete. To maliciously encourage and relish in the violent injury of a student-athlete and the potential long term debilitating effects of severe concussions speaks volumes about your lack of character and maturity.

Re: Cheap *** Sioux!

Apparently the WCHA does not agree with you, they suspended Frattin for one game.
Exactly. Why does anyone even bother arguing with North Dakota fans about this kind of stuff? THE WCHA SUSPENDED HIM. It was not a legal hit. Hence, the penalty and suspension.

The hypocrisy is unreal. UND fans whined for MONTHS about an illegal hit to the head, that the player was suspended for and then when their player does it, they say it was a clean hit and that if he was a UAA player, he wouldn't have been suspended.

Let's just leave it at this:

Re: Cheap *** Sioux!

You lump the entire Sioux fanbase into one based off the dumb opinions of a couple, and then you follow that up by agreeing with a post made by a Sioux fan?

:p

If you aren't one of the Sioux fans arguing about the hit, then I'm not lumping you into anything.

Re: Cheap *** Sioux!

Doesn't Wehrs have any responsibility to protect himself, when he sees an obvious check coming?

Yes. In fact the WCHA should suspend Wehrs for Minnesota's first game next year instead of suspending Frattin. The hit was obviously Kevin's fault.

Re: Cheap *** Sioux!

this is Frattin's first suspension for a hit...how many times has Marvin been suspended?? Marvin needs to be on a cross or banned from the league. Whichever comes first.

Was he suspended prior to this season? If not...the answer is two. Way to make absolutely no point. :p

Re: Cheap *** Sioux!

I'm wrong, I guess. Players don't need to watch out for themselves, in hockey.

And don't bring up Genoway, because he obviously didn't have a chance to do anything.

By your logic, it must be partially Chay's fault. I mean, who turns their back on an opponent?

It's the hitter's, and ONLY the hitter's responsibility to have his own body under control when he checks someone.
