CHA Thoughts and Prognostications: Year 11, The Finale...

Re: CHA Thoughts and Prognostications: Year 11, The Finale...

Former Beaver Luke Erickson was released by the Alaska Aces of the ECHL. Kind of a surprise to me since he had a decent year last year (21G-34A-55 Pts).

Also, Orlando Alamano was released from Bakersfield (ECHL) - he was there on a tryout basis.

Armando Scarlato signed a contract with Bloomington (IHL) after a training camp tryout.

Millsy, I know it might seem surprising about Erickson but the talent level in minor pro hockey this year is just outstanding. There are a lot of really good players competing for roster spots. Actually, I would not mind seeing Luke back here in Gwinnett - won't happen, though, as we are cutting players we wish we could keep (with two NHL affiliations, we are getting more players sent down than in past seasons).

So, with PR0V1CED beating Notre Dame, does this mean UAH has a shot at getting into HE? ;)

Just taking note of the ECHL opening night rosters for the Gwinnett v Wheeling game that I will be at ... the CHA is well represented:

Wheeling- Aaron Clark (RoMo) and Scott Kalinchuk (UAH)
Gwinnett- Matt Caruana (Niagara) and Matt Francis (Bemidji)

:) :) :)

Way to go Boys in Blue (Royal Blue that is...). Let's do it again!!!
I'll gladly take a hit in the Playpen for one more tonight.

Geof, - Coach said it was a wild one; did you see the game?
If so, what was wild... other than the SOG's by the Flyboys?

In Anaheim, CA for my, uh, millionth high school reunion tonight.:D
Geof - Text me score updates if that's possible?

I'll hit you on goals, Doug.

Yeah, I watched it with wnickelson at my house. Lotta SOG by the Zoomies, lotta end-to-end skating. Talbie looked good like he did last weekend. The difference between him last year and this ... hoo boy.
