Just wondering....why was the Mercyhurst-Niagara game a non-conference tilt? :confused: Was it a schedule filler or what?

Noticed something similar earlier this year when the home and home between SLU and Clarkson did not count towards the ECAC standings. After checking the full schedules, noticed they will play each other again later this year for the games counting toward the ECAC standings. So you are probably right..schedule filler...which might mean they could not find other opponents willing/able to play on that weekend.
