Re: CHA Thoughts and Predictions '09-'10

Ya know, I had Niagara picked to win the first of the two games with Cornell, and yet they go ahead and win the second game instead. Shouldn't there be some sort of "atta boy" or something just for seeing the chance of a Niagara win? Looking back, I think I was in limited company on this.

Congrats to the Purp's! A very good hard working team!

Atta boy, you got both games wrong!:D It used to be that you could pick a split and get two points. Then 'Zamboni started changing the rules from week to week -- sometimes you had to have them in the right order, sometimes you didn't. Strangely, he always won the contest.;) Of late, it has been constant that one picks individual games rather than series. Thus, there is little incentive to pick a split, because you can be right and still be 0-2. I guess you can do it as a hedge, if you think that the team that wins game 1 will carry the momentum into game 2, but you're not sure which team that will be.

As I first started reading this I was getting "tinkled off" but I saw the wink. Hopefully you didn't mean that because I don't think I ever changed the rules, just clarified. For the record, not only haven't I ever won, I don't think I was ever very close. I am horrible at picking CHA games.

Sorry. I had multiple brother-in-laws at a young age, so I grew up with bad influences.:o

The only part I was serious about was that I thought that you and quixote usually won. My mistake. You've definitely been close though. You weren't horrible until this year, when parity is rampant and picking is more art than science.

Re: CHA Thoughts and Predictions '09-'10

MICZAMBONI no offense but you always seem to vote against Mercyhurst.. no wonder you are always so far off! :D

I too might have picked a split with WS and the Orange, but not after getting the split wrong last week! There's no way Syracuse drops two!
