It's always an adventure with that guy. Last night, and again tonight, he went on and on about the size of the ice sheet at World Arena, suggesting it was some humongous size you'd see at a rink in Latvia. 200 by 100 no?

I guess I have two issues with him. One is what you just mentioned: He seems to go off on a certain tangent for an eternity (like the ice sheet...as if DU has never played on it before), and some of his enthusiasm seems really fake to me. But to be fair, I haven't listened to him in two seasons since I've been away from Denver. He seems like a good guy and all that, I'm just not his biggest fan when it comes to his announcing.

He's frequently like the moron who's learned a new word and tries to get it in to every sentence. Tonight's little gem is "this is the 273 meeting between these two teams." Do we really need to hear that 26 times (so far)?

Sorry to hear about that. I cleared up MY computer problems tonight. But like I mentioned last night I NEVER, repeat NEVER spill the Crown Royal.

I got to see MTU in the NCAAs in 1976 at DU. Even though the Gophers beat them in the finals that year, MTU had a hell of a team.
