'Cats and 'Dogs--NMU @ Ferris, Feb 5-6

Re: 'Cats and 'Dogs--NMU @ Ferris, Feb 5-6

I'm going to do to you what Diva does to me....put you on Ignore.

You said you were never coming back and we all threw a huge kegger in honor of it.

Epic.Fail.

Re: 'Cats and 'Dogs--NMU @ Ferris, Feb 5-6

I'll leave now. I just wanted to celebrate a huge Cats win with a little political punditry!

Re: 'Cats and 'Dogs--NMU @ Ferris, Feb 5-6

I watched the 2nd and 3rd periods on B2, I don't know what you mean by getting screwed. We got out shot badly, Stewart played really well, had a lead late in the 3rd but gave up the tying goal. My feed locked up after the game was tied, so I may have missed something, but I feel pretty good about coming out with a shoot out win.

Friday night game, NMU went up 4-3 with a little over a minute, but the goal was disallowed--primary reason why I thought we got screwed.......... Oh well, happy with Saturday night result, just wished we had 2 x Ws' in regulation. Maybe a little greedy, but we need Ws' more than ties.

LETS GO CATS!!!!

Nice weekend Cats!!! Now take care of Western next weekend and keep the momentum going to Detroit (oh and Ann Arbor)...:D

Re: 'Cats and 'Dogs--NMU @ Ferris, Feb 5-6

A HUGE HUGE weekend for the Cats! They proved me wrong this weekend. Stewart should be a strong candidate for CCHA goalie of the week.

Re: 'Cats and 'Dogs--NMU @ Ferris, Feb 5-6

This weekend leaves NMU in sole possession of 7th place in the CCHA. Not where we'd like to be, but it's better than 10th! That being said, every game from here on out is a MUST win.

Alright, A little momentum going finally. Two great games in Big Rapids, now we must not play down the Western. They swept Notre Dame this weekend, and these are big points. IF Northern can sweep Western, we'll have picked up 16 out of a possible 18 points in three weeks. Huge. We cant over look Western, but what a monster of a series vs. Michigan in two weeks.

Re: 'Cats and 'Dogs--NMU @ Ferris, Feb 5-6

As a fan I can speculate to it

What did you mean by THIS?

I meant, BOTH weekends are big. Western in that they are coming off a huuuuuge weekend for them and will be looking to build off that momentum, and Michigan in that when is a series against them not big for us.

Then, after those big weekends, we face LSSU, which is both huge in terms of rivalry and in point standings.

In short, there are no easy weekends left. Every game matters. Every point is essential.

At this point, the only game that matters for the Cats is the next one... They simply can NOT look more than a day ahead in their schedule for the rest of the season... If they get cocky, it'll bite them square in the ***...

Re: 'Cats and 'Dogs--NMU @ Ferris, Feb 5-6

Okay, another tie for the Wildcats...

This means without a doubt that each and every game for the rest of the season is a MUST WIN. If we lose one more game or have one more tie, we are officially out of the running for an NCAA at large bid. Am I right?

No. You are not right. Nothing is official with the PWR until the final conference tourney has ended. I'm not sure where you keep getting these "official" declarations, but none of them are official.

The PWR is so incredibly convoluted, that it is impossible to know who is in or not until the final reading. If you go to your conference tourney in the Top 20, you may have a chance, however, no one can actually say if, going into conference tourney weekend, the top 17, 18, 19 or 24 are still alive. By the same token no one can say that #11, 12 or 13 has a spot clinched either.

Stewart was the key this weekend, and will be the key from here on out. Western is playing like they mean it, so we better be ready to strap it on this weekend.

Nice weekend beating the number 11 team in the country (USCHO poll). Kick some butt against WMU and then UM!

Anyone making the trip to Yost? I'll see ya there!
