Cats and Dogs -- BU at UNH, Friday

Re: Cats and Dogs -- BU at UNH, Friday

ah, I didn't know BUnyan had a call too... Fair enough :)

After the call to put us up 5 on 3 I'm not going to complain too much ;)

your guys on the web feed are very good. they call what they see. give me updates. much better than bernie.

(BUnyan... that's funny :) )

Tonight's beer.... Point Pale Ale.... Ratebeer has it a 32, but that is a bit harsh, I think. I would grade it an even 55. A passable brew, but not a premium ale.

I tend to steer clear of pale ales. I've never really found one that I like. Harpoon's re-released UFO Pale Ale is a complete disaster. I wanted to leave the launch tasting party they had when I tried it and found out that's all they had on tap.

Snively - I want a trip to your basement :D

Carl... some of the stuff he trots up with from the beer cave would astound us all.... ask how many cases of Trappistes Rochefort he has down there?? The stuff goes for around $8-$10 A BOTTLE..... Richard has CASES of it. Seriously.... the man is the king of beer.

Malts - I remember that from last season - the cases of Trappistes Rochefort. Screw the Whitt and HE road trips - we need to road trip to Snively's:)

I really do like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Some here (in the UNH coalition of the swilling) don't care for it, but I have always enjoyed it. This brew by Point (out of Stevens Point, Wisconsin) is actually the Cascade Pale Ale and is not bad.

Actually, I put up the wrong link.... that was for the regular Pale Ale. Here is the Cascade Pale Ale. It rates a 54, so that makes much more sense to me.

You're both very welcome to down as many as you'd like if/when you're in the area (unless you tell wife Trish how MANY cases! :D ).

Tonight's is gonna be -- in recognition of the appointment of an unkown Flemish Beligian as the new head of the EU -- a similarly seriously obscure Flemish brew: PODGE BELGIAN IMPERIAL STOUT..

See photo of it's label (fifth one down) at: http://users.telenet.be/biertoeren/deacik/alvinne/html/bieren.html

Yumm...

Tell me when, Carl.... Richard has a standing invite for us, right? :p ;)
