Re: Cars

I test drove the Rogue back in 2011 when I was first looking at crossovers. Couldn't get myself to like the CVT transmission, and I found the rear window to be pretty limiting for visibility. Arguably small things, as I have seen a metric *ton of Rogue's on the road.

We noticed the small rear window, which we didn't see as a deal breaker. And my fiance liked the way the CVT transmission drove. I didn't drive it, so I don't know. I don't imagine I'd care one way or the other. I'd care about such things in my truck, but her car, its about what she likes.

Re: Cars

My family back home had a 2010 Sonata, and just bought a 2013. They are in love with them. Great gas mileage, big enough to hold everyone, decent power. Also final assembly done in Alabama, which appeases my EY TURK UR JURBS father.

I found the handling a little loosey-goosey on the highway, but that's about it. Hyundai gets it right.

I have heard much of the same recently about Hyundai. It seems they're putting out a good product.

Re: Cars

Biased, due to brother working for Hyundai as a mechanic, but he stood behind the Sonata's reliability, although he himself doesn't care for the car (aesthetics reasons). He really likes the Azera, but that is out of bbdl's price range, apparently.

I do know if anyone wants to really blow some money, the Hyundai Genesis is basically a BMW clone. I have driven that...and wowzers.

Not a huge fan of the Sonata's looks, either, but I'd probably go with it over the Rogue. I like hatchbacks, but the Sonata is still pretty decently-sized, should be reliable, and should get better mileage. New car smell = bonus.

Since the internals are basically the same, I'd probably go with the "alpha" sheetmetal of the Kia Optima over the "beta" Sonata, but that's all personal preference.

Re: Cars

A sad day for us.....:(

We bid farewell, adieu, au revoir, adios, to our 1994 Toyota Camry today. It has served us honorably and well. It needs about $1,500 of work, and it's just not worth it any more to put that much money into it....when you look at used car prices, the incremental extra to get a used car is just too good a relative value to pass up.

The Koenigseggseggsgggeggseggssgegg One:1.

1360 horsepower, 1360 kilograms. Hence the name. Mother. Of. God.
Holy SHIBBY!!!

So, I say we all pool our money and buy one :D

I see plenty of zero's here, but somehow I think we're still going to come up a bit short on actually being able to even afford to rent one of these bad boys for a day.
